Hello everyone!! Esta oportunidad me pareció perfecta para hacer algo que quería desde hace un tiempo y es pintar un mandala. Así que decidí participar en este concurso y aportar mi granito a esta linda comunidad de @holos-lotus que está comenzando.

Hello everyone! This opportunity seemed perfect for me to do something I've been wanting to do for a while and that is to paint a mandala. So I decided to participate in this contest and contribute my little bit to this beautiful community of @holos-lotus that is just starting.

Siempre había escuchado y leído que realizar esta actividad servía para liberar el estrés y ayudaba a relajar. Y de verdad que me encantó la experiencia, me concentré tanto pintando cada espacio de la mandala, pensado cuál era el color perfecto para cada espacio que se me pasó el tiempo sin darme cuenta. Mi cerebro se sentía descansado, a pesar de haber estado como una hora en el proceso, también descubrí que puede ser adictivo ya que me dejó la sensación de querer más y decidí programar al menos una vez al mes realizar esta actividad que me trajo esa sensación de bienestar, tranquilidad además de calmar mi ansiedad.

I had always heard and read that doing this activity served to release stress and helped to relax. And I really loved the experience, I concentrated so much painting each space of the mandala, thinking what was the perfect color for each space that time passed without realizing it. My brain felt rested, despite having spent about an hour in the process, I also discovered that it can be addictive as it left me with the feeling of wanting more and I decided to schedule at least once a month to do this activity that brought me that feeling of wellbeing, tranquility and calmed my anxiety.

Hello @isamorales. What a lovely mandala you colored! I love the variety of colors your used, especially black and yellow. I like bold and dynamic colors. The purple represents all things spiritual. I can see how it can be addictive because it relaxes your mind and relieves stress.

I had a question about the source of the image your used for drawing your mandala: ipin.img

This site is connected to Pinterest. Just linking to an image doesn't guarantee that the image is free for you to use.

The reason for my inquiry is that images from Pinterest are not free to use. Pinterest doesn't own the images that individuals pin to its site. You must click on the image to find its owner and determine whether you are allowed to use that person's image.

You're welcome. If it's OK, I'd like to tell you some information about sourcing and also about some free sites that you can use that have awesome images that are free. Once you go to the sites, you'll see on the front page that the images are free for you to use under a special Creative Commons License.

In fact, I just checked, and you can find beautiful Mandalas on Pixabay, a site that has free images.

IMAGES used in your post

  1. Images that you copy from Google are not appropriate to use in your posts. In fact, they are not free, meaning you don't have permission to use them. If you locate a photo in Google search you want to use, you have to click on the link to see the true source of the image with the original site where it's found. The image belongs to someone. If the site states that the image is free to use, then you can copy that particular link as the source of the image. If not, then do another search until you locate one that is free to use.

  2. Images from any commercial site where you have to pay for the image or pay for a subscription. IStock is one of those sites, as is Getty Images and others. Their images are not free to use. The particular image you linked to costs $33. If you get a subscription to IStock for $9.99, then you have permission to use some images. Did you pay the one-time fee to use that particular image; or did you get a subscription?

  3. Only images that are your property or you get from sites that give you permission to use the images there are free to include in your blog. By taking other people's property is seen as plagiarism.

There are numerous sites that you can obtain images that are free to use under a special license called "Creative Commons". The sites will state this when you visit their site. Why not check out the following and see whether you can locate suitable images:

Burst (majority of images are free. excellent images, but choose carefully)

Wow sumamente colorido tu mándala, me gustó mucho... Aunque para ser sincera, sentí que me hacía falta saber porque escogías cada color, esa fue la parte de la historia en la que no nos incluiste sniff
