Challenge to Gabo #2: Star Lord Sculpture [ENG/ESP]

Greetings to all fellow creatives. This time I bring you the second installment of this new section in my blog called Challenge to Gabo. Where you challenge me to make a figure and I show you how to do it.

In the previous installment I showed you how to make the Batman figure, proposed by my colleague jcrodriguez.

Well, in that same publication I was challenged to make Star Lord, Doctor Strange and the Xenomorph. I chose Star Lord, proposed by ismaelrd04, because it goes very much in line with another figure I made recently, a Baby Groot. Having said all that, I present to you then this second installment of Challenge to Gabo.

The materials used were the usual ones:
*Plastilinas of colors.
*Wire
*Thread
*Glue
*Tools: sewing needle and knitting needle.

The first thing to make is the skeleton. In the image below you can see the initial shape of the skeleton (1). Then I made some anime or polystyrene parts to give volume to both the torso and the head (2).

I always start working on the legs/feet of the figure, this case was no different. The first thing I did was to make two cylinders with the rounded end (3), I opened them in half and placed them on the wire (4), then I bent the rounded end of each cylinder and sealed the joints (5).

Next were the legs. In this case I made a much longer and larger cylinder (6), then measured it with the skeleton to make sure it had the correct measurements (7).

The next step was to cut the cylinder to place it on the skeleton (8). Then I put it in place and sealed the plasticine joints with my fingers or a toothpick (9).

With my hands I stretched the plasticine upwards a bit and placed a couple of lines of plasticine between the junction of the boots and the legs (10), then with the help of a toothpick or a pin I shaped the folds of the pants (11).

I continued with the neck of the figure, placing some pink plasticine in the area (12), then molded until I achieved the desired shape (13).

Once the neck was ready I started with what would be the character's shirt. I stretched plasticine and cut it into the shape as seen in the image below (14), then put it in place (15).

This is how the figure looked once I pressed the stretched plasticine against the anime torso:

The next step would be to make the star lord's jacket. For this I stretched plasticine and cut it with a scissors to the desired shape:

I also made some accessories for the legs and put them in place:

Once all this was done, I took the piece of red plasticine that would be the reefer, and placed it around the torso, making folds in the edge of the reefer to simulate the movement of the reefer:

Next were the arms. I made a cylinder and attached a thin wire to it to give it firmness (21), then attached it to the torso and made the hand with black plasticine (22).

I did the same with the other arm, with the difference that in this one I made a gun. Below you can see the parts of the gun:

The last thing is the head. To make it we have to nail the piece of anime to the wire that will give volume to it, as seen in the image below:

We must, first of all, place the hair, sticking to the anime numerous pieces of sharp brown plasticine, without a defined shape. Then we must cover the back and sides with gray plasticine.

In the front part, we can make a line of plasticine to delimit what will be the face of the figure, as seen in the following animation:

Next is to make the helmet accessories and put them in place. In the following animation you can see all the helmet accessories and where they should go:

The last thing will be to make some lines in the mouth area of the helmet, make some holes in the eyes and place squashed circles of red plasticine in what would be the eyes.

This way the figure will be finished.

Saludos a todos compañeros creativos. En esta ocasión les traigo la segunda entrega de esta nueva sección en mi blog llamada Reta a Gabo. En donde ustedes me retan a hacer una figura y yo les muestro cómo hacerla.

En la entrega anterior les enseñé cómo hacer la figura de Batman, propuesta por el compañero jcrodriguez.

Pues bien, en esa misma publicación me retaron a hacer a Star Lord, a Doctor Strange y al Xenomorfo. Yo escogí a Star Lord, propuesto por ismaelrd04, porque va muy acorde a otra figura que hice recientemente, un Baby Groot. Dicho todo esto, les presento pues esta segunda entrega de Reta a Gabo.

Los materiales utilizados fueron los de siempre:
*Plastilinas de colores.
*Alambre
*Hilo
*Pegamento
*Herramientas: aguja de coser y tejer.

Lo primero que se debe hacer es el esqueleto. En la imagen a continuación pueden ver la forma inicial del esqueleto (1). Luego hice unas partes de anime o polietireno para dar volumen tanto al torso como a la cabeza (2).

Siempre acostumbro a comenzar a trabajar por las piernas/pies de la figura, este caso no fue distintos. Lo primero que hice fue hacer dos cilindros con la punta redondeada (3), los abri en la mitad y los coloqué en el alambre (4), luego doblé la punta redondeada de cada cilindro y sellé las uniones (5).

Lo siguiente fueron las piernas. En este caso hice un cilindro mucho más largo y grande (6), luego lo medí con el esqueleto para asegurarme de que tuviera las medidas correctas (7).

El siguiente paso fue cortar el cilindro para colocarlo en el esqueleto (8). Luego lo coloqué en su lugar y sellé las uniones de las plastilina con mis dedos o con un palillo (9).

Con mis manos estié un poco la plastilina hacia arriba y coloqué un par de lineas de plastilina entre la unión de las botas y las piernas (10), luego con ayuda de un palillo o un alfiler le di forma a los pliegues del pantalón (11).

Continué con el cuello de la figura, colocando un poco de plastilina rosada en el área (12), luego moldeé hasta lograr la forma deseada (13).

Una vez listo el cuello comencé con lo que sería la camiseta del personaje. Estiré plastilina y la corté de la forma como se observa en la imagen de abajo (14), luego la coloqué en su lugar (15).

De esta manera quedó la figura una vez que apreté la plastilina estirada contra el torso de anime:

Lo siguiente sería hacer el chaqueton de star lord. Para ello estiré plastilina y la corté con una tijera de la forma deseada:

También hice unos accesorios para las piernas y los coloqué en su lugar:

Una vez hecho todo esto, tomé el trozo de plastilina roja que sería el chaquetón, y lo coloqué alrededor del torso, haciendo dobleces en el borde del chaquetón para simular el movimiento de la misma:

Lo siguiente fueron los brazos. Hice un cilindro y le coloqué un delgado alambre para darle firmeza (21), luego lo sujeté al torso y le hice la mano con plastilina color negro (22).

Hice lo mismo con el otro brazo, con la diferencia de que en este le hice una pistola. A continuación pueden ver las partes de la pistola:

Lo último es la cabeza. Para hacerla debemos clavar en el alambre el trozo de anime que le dará volumen a la misma, tal como se observa en la imagen a continuación:

Debemos, primeramente, colocarle el cabello, pegando al anime numerosos trozos de plastilina afilados color marrón, sin forma definida. Luego debemos cubrir la parte de atrás y los laterales con plastilina gris.

En la parte frontal, podemos hacerle una línea de plastilina para delimitar lo que será el rostro de la figura, tal como se observa en la siguiente animación:

Lo siguiente es hacer los accesorios del casco y colocarlos en su lugar. En la siguiente animación pueden ver todos los accesorios del casco y el lugar en el que deben ir:

Lo último será hacer unas líneas en la área de la boca del casco, hacer unos agujeros en los ojos y colocar circulos aplastados de plastilina roja en lo que serían los ojos.

De esta manera la figura estará terminada.

¿Qué les pareció? Siempre disfruto haciendo estas figuras y espero que ustedes también disfruten de este trabajo que hago, pues en mi opinión la figura quedó muy bien.

Tal como dije en la publicación anterior, abajo en los comentarios pueden retarme a hacer una figura que se les ocurra. Yo elegiré una entre todas las que hayan dejado y esa será la figura que haré para el siguiente reto. Si les gusta la idea que alguien haya propuesto, pueden dejarle un comentario a ese usuario dando apoyo a su idea. Si una idea es muy apoyada pues la tomaré en cuenta.

En HIVE las ideas tienen mucho valor, así que quien planteó la idea elegida recibirá un % de las recompenzas de esta publicación. Una pequeña recompenza por la idea propuesta.

La idea anterior, la de Batman, fue propuesta por mi compañero jcrodriguez. Como fue su idea, de mi parte le otorgaré un porcentaje de las ganancias, en este caso un 15%.

El post recaudó un total de 33.46. Yo recibí 16,81. El 15 % de eso es 2,5215, así que esa es la recompenza del señor jcrodriguez por su idea del Batman.
