Caja cotillón inspirado en Keroppi / Party box inpired by Keroppi (Esp/Eng)

Ni yo misma tenía idea que podría lograr estas cosas, sin embargo puedo decir que es una actividad que estoy disfrutando de explorar.
Sería interesante hacer el intento de crear todos los personajes de Hello Kitty y tener una colección. MI hijo menor lo está disfrutando junto conmigo y ya las tiene fichadas para obsequiarlas con dulces. Esta es una excelente idea para obsequiar detalles, podría no solo usarse como cotillón, cualquier fan de Hello Kitty amaría un detalle especial lleno de dulces o un obsequio.
Haciendo mi propio patrón para armar la pieza, he podido lograrla, siguiendo una imagen de referencia de la figura del personaje Keroppi.

Hello everyone!
I never imagined I’d be able to make these, but I must say it’s something I’m really enjoying exploring.
It would be fun to try and create all the Hello Kitty characters and build a collection. My youngest son is enjoying it with me and has already picked them out to fill with sweets. This is an excellent idea for small gifts; it could be used for more than just party favours – any Hello Kitty fan would love a special treat filled with sweets or a little present.
By making my own template to assemble the piece, I’ve managed to create it, following a reference image of the character Keroppi.

Paso a paso / Step by Step

Tomo la imagen de referencia del personaje y lo dibujo en una hoja blanca reciclada, recorto la pieza y luego hago el patronaje en la cartulina verde, tomando las medidas.
Cada pieza tendrá que ser doble para la parte delantera y trasera, las piezas comprenden, el cuerpo de la caja que es el cuerpo del personaje, el asa, 2 pared de ojos con 2 pares de pupilas mas dos pares de bolitas de color rosa para el rubor, dos boquitas y dos pares de patitas.

I take the reference image of the character and draw it onto a sheet of recycled white paper; I cut out the piece and then trace the pattern onto green card, taking the measurements.
Each piece will need to be cut out twice for the front and back; the pieces include the body of the box (which is the character’s body), the handle, two eye panels with two pairs of pupils plus two pairs of little pink dots for the blush, two little mouths and two pairs of little legs.

Dobla las pestañas para que tome forma la caja, ahora pega cada pieza en su lugar repitiendo el paso exactamente igual del otro lado.
Usa la figura para remarcar la cartulina negra, cuando recortes la pieza procura dejar un espacio hacía afuera de al menos 0.5 centímetros.
Ahora pega cada pieza por la parte de atrás del personaje.

Fold the tabs to form the box, then stick each piece in place, repeating the step exactly the same way on the other side.
Use the template to mark out the black card; when cutting out the piece, make sure to leave a margin of at least 0.5 centimetres.
Now stick each piece onto the back of the character.

Toma las piezas laterales y dobla las pestañas, ahora aplica pegamento y fíjalos en la caja.
Toma la pieza de la asa y corta otra lista del mismo largo pero dejando una separación de un centímetro de más, pega ambas piezas.
Fija la pieza del asa en la caja y con ello hemos terminado nuestro lindo proyecto.
Ya estoy armando una colección que espero les guste.

Take the side pieces and fold the tabs; now apply glue and attach them to the box.
Take the handle piece and cut another strip of the same length, leaving an extra centimetre at one end; glue the two pieces together.
Attach the handle piece to the box, and with that we’ve finished our lovely project.
I’m already putting together a collection that I hope you’ll like.

Giving sweets as a gift isn’t the only charming option. The first thing that came to mind when I saw your work was organising a birthday party and giving these out as party favours to each of the children attending; they could feature different characters, or the same one if the birthday party has a single theme.
It’s turned out really cute and fun, and the best thing is that you get to enjoy this activity with your son, plus the instructions and step-by-step guide are brilliant.
