Human Figure Drawing. (My Chiaroscuro Study).
Hello Friends,
It's been quite an experience and various interesting lessons since I've been working on and with the Chiaroscuro technique. I made the drawing above yesterday afternoon/evening and I've been so occupied with so much since then and that led to me just posting it now.
I downloaded my reference picture online which was also a drawing but with great values and portrays the high contrast (Chiaroscuro) just the way it appeals to me. The drawing I used as my reference picture was a smooth drawing and at times it could be quite tough trying to imitate a drawing which was made with the smooth or "blurring" technique with strokes just like I've done. I just took my time to understand the light behaviors on the figure and I sketched out the figure on my sketchpad with my desired proportions, and shading with my strokes, heavy or light came afterwards to pitch out the contrast which is my point of emphasis!
