My participation in Olena Minko's Draw This In Your Style - Instagram (ESP/ENG)

Greetings dear friends.

It has been a while since I participated in any drawing challenge in our style, as I did not see anything interesting or that would attract my attention, among other things, designs of great complexity.

I chose to participate in this challenge of this Instagram artist Olena Minko (@elena_art_u) because I found her design very fresh, uncomplicated, beautiful and I loved the transparencies of the dress, I found it a challenge to recreate it in my style.

Olena Minko (@elena_art_u) she is from Ukraine, is a very active illustrator whose designs are based on very neat female silhouettes.

Participating in these challenges is a good way to attract followers in that social network, meet new artists and support their work.

Hace tiempo que no participaba en ningún reto de dibujar a nuestro estilo, pues no veía nada interesante o que atrajera mi atención, entre otras cosas, diseños de mucha complejidad.

Elegí participar en este reto de esta artista de Instagram Olena Minko (@elena_art_u) pues su diseño me pareció muy fresco, descomplicado, hermoso y amé las transparencias del vestido, me pareció un reto recrearlo a mi estilo.

Olena Minko (@elena_art_u) es de Ukrania, es una ilustradora muy activa cuyos diseños se basan en siluetas femeninas muy prolijas.

Participar en estos retos es una buena forma de atraer seguidores en esa red social, conocer nuevos artistas y apoyar su trabajo.

Disfruté mucho realizar este diseño, aprendí muchas cosas y mejoré otras.

Por ejemplo las transparencias del vestido, aprendí a ajustar mejor la opacidad de las capas para lograrlos y darles efecto sombreado.

Sigo mejorando en mi técnica de pintar cabello, es algo semi realista.

Acerca del diseño en general, trabajé en la forma que acostumbro, desde el boceto hasta los detalles finales. Me gustó también que el fondo es sencillo, aunque hubiera preferido que el artista empleara un tono más llamativo, tuve que oscurecerlo pues se pierde el diseño.

En general respeté la paleta de colores empleada por la artista excepto el fondo, las poses y detalles quedan a nuestro estilo, dejando siempre a la vista el diseño de inspiración, la imagen del reto.

I enjoyed making this design, learned many things and improved others.

For example, the transparencies of the dress, I learned to better adjust the opacity of the layers to achieve them and give them a shading effect.

I'm still improving my hair color technique, it's something semi realistic.

About the design in general, I worked the way I usually do, from the sketch to the final details. I also liked that the background is simple, although I would have preferred the artist to use a more striking tone, I had to darken it as the design is lost.


In general I respected the color palette used by the artist except for the background, the poses and details are left to our style, always leaving the inspirational design, the image of the challenge, visible.
