first summer insects

So far I didnt walk around with macro lens, hunting for anything - be it insects, flowers or mushrooms. I didnt open the season yet, tho it is almost summer's centrepoint.

But still, I have come around a few encounters! So I can show you a few nice images. Do open the pics in a separate window and enjoy the capture in all hi-res majesty. For me, it is an amazing masterpieces created by Mother Nature

Plebeius argus from a big Lycaenidae family. What is interesting: these butterflies are timid and do not particularly like to let the photographer come to them, all the time they flutter over the flowers non-stop ... in their natural environment, in the meadow. But! the beach where this scene was photographed had a completely different behavior. They stuck to the wet sand, to our bag of pear juice, and to ourselves.

Голубянки! Что интересно: эти бабочки робкие и не особенно любят подпускать к себе фотографа, все время порхают над цветками нон-стоп... в естественной среде, на лугу. Но! на пляже, где была сфотографирована эта сцена, было совершенно другое поведение. Они липли к мокрому песку, к нашему пакету с грушевым соком, и нам самим.

Those captures actually not true macros -- I was not borrowing my telemacro with me to the beach. This was captured with universal 50mm lense (I just cropped the close-ups).

Nymphalis urticae, or Aglais urticae, or 'Крапивница' in Russian — a diurnal butterfly from the Nymphalidae family, species of the genus Aglais.

'Urticaria' is a diurnal butterfly from the Nymphalid family, the specific epithet of the name - urticae - comes from the word urtica (nettle) and is explained by the fact that nettle is one of the food plants of this species of caterpillars.

'Крапивница' — дневная бабочка из семейства Нимфалид, видовой эпитет названия — urticae - происходит от слова urtica (крапива) и объясняется тем, что крапива — одно из кормовых растений гусениц этого вида. Из детства запомнилось еще одно ее название - "шоколадница", уж не знаю почему.

This is not a fly, oh no ... this is her evil and bloodthirsty relative - the gadfly. This is God's punishment ... what we get in the form of a bonus from Mother Nature (to restore balance, maybe? ..) when we are lying on the beach. We have to defend ourselves, and of course we defend ourselves - as you can see, this instance has only one wing in the kit; so to speak, a well-aimed shot took place and the enemy plane was shot down ...

Это не муха, о нет... это ее злой и кровожадный родственник - овод. Это кара господня... то, что мы получаем в виде бонуса от матери-природы (для восстановления баланса, быть может?..) когда лежим на пляже. Нам приходится защищаться, и конечно мы защищаемся - как вы можете заметить, у этого экземпляра уже только одно крыло в комплекте; так сказать, имел место меткий выстрел и вражеский самолет был подбит...
