FAIL | I tried to perform a YouTube DIY and this was the result. FAIL
Español | English
Hello community♡ I hope you are feeling well. Today I come to tell you about my failed experience doing a DIY that I saw on YouTube. I followed all the steps indicated in the video but I didn't use a material, which for me was the instrument that influenced me so that it didn't come out as I really wanted. I was very excited to see the final result since I was going to use these balloons to decorate my room but it was not so haha. But despite that I will not give up and I will try again for a few days. Because not all the things we do will turn out well and I want to emphasize that in this post. Just enjoy the moment and don't give up.
Materiales | Materials
Papel crepé | Crepe paper |
---|---|
Regla | Ruler |
Cartulina | Cardboard |
Recipiente circular | Circular container |
Pega | Glue |
Tijera | Scissors |
Paso a paso | Step by step
First make the base which is to draw a circle on the white cardboard and divide it into 6 parts, so far so good.
The circle had to be divided vertically, drawing 5 lines. Each line had to have only two numbers placed on it. For example; 1, 2, 1, 1, 2, 1.
After that you should measure 1 cm from the sides and the top and bottom. The base in total measured 14 cm x 14 cm. And with that measurement I started to cut out the crepe paper. You should get 25 to 30 pieces.
Once all the pieces are ready, proceed to glue it. The circle previously made will serve as a guide. The first piece is placed there, without gluing. Then when the second piece is placed, it is glued only on the lines with the number 1 and then when the next piece is glued, it is glued only on the lines with the number 2 and so on until all the pieces are used up.
I feel that my mistake was to glue them with liquid glue, since it takes a long time to dry. However, the glue stick does not. Then I made another circle with the white cardboard and cut it out. Then I folded it in half and glued it to the crepe paper pieces but with the doubles horizontally.
Then cut around the circle and cut it in half as well. With the help of a thread and needle, go through each corner and tie a small knot leaving space.
To finish, glue is added to one of the pieces and joined with the other. And here is my FAIL. Most of the pieces stuck together and it didn't open as it should.
Me hiciste reír demasiado!!
Saludos!
