DIY | CREATIVE RECYCLING CHALLENGE #9 MATCH 5 SPEED RACER ANIME [ENG-ESP]

Hello friends again my participation in the CREATIVE REYCLING CHALLENGE # 9 carried out by the friend @jennyzer who was kind enough to invite me to participate. My work this time is about the Match 5 race car from the Speed ​​Racer anime. This was my favorite childhood anime and I think it was the first one I saw in my life with Mazinger Z. It is built with beer cans, plastic, and cardboard. Hope you like.

Hola amigos otra vez mi participacion en el CREATIVE REYCLING CHALLENGE # 9 llevado a cabo por la amiga @jennyzer quien tuvo la gentileza de invitarme para participar. Mi trabajo en esta oportunidad se trata del auto de carreras Match 5 del anime Speed Racer. Este era mi anime favorito de la infancia y creo que es el primero que vi en mi vida junto a Mazinger Z. Esta construido con latas de cervezas, plastico, y carton. Espero que les guste.

First we draw some templates to guide us. There are some templates in papercraft but they have too many pieces so I tried to find one that had fewer pieces to put together.

Primero dibujamos unas plantillas para guiarnos. Existen algunas plantillas en papercraft pero tienen demasiadas piezas asi que trate de buscar una que tuviero menos piezas para armar.

We start by assembling the upper part of the body. The aerodynamic design of this car is very difficult to do with aluminum cans. The curvature of its body is difficult to mold and the can tends to bend easily so that some parts may not fit exactly together.

Comenzamos armando la parte superior de la carroceria. El diseño aerodinámico de este auto es muy dificil para hacer con latas de aluminio. La curvatura de su cuerpo es dificil de moldear y la lata suele doblarse con facilidad por lo que algunas partes tal vez no queden exactamente unidas.

Then we place the doors and also the part that borders the wheels. So also in this way it is joining at the bottom

Seguidamente colocamos las puertas y tamien la parte que bordea las ruedas. Asi tambien de esta forma va uniendose por la parte inferior.

Now we go through the rear of the car, we put the rear fenders and the hood. We join with glue following the lines and trying to keep the measure intact so that it looks bad.

Ahora pasamos con la parte trasera del auto, colocamos los guardafangos traseros y el capó. Unimos con pegamento siguiendo las lineas y tratando de mantener la medida intacta para que nos quede mal.

We have already finished most of the bodywork. Once we have finished this step with bright white spray paint, we paint the car. We put 2 layers on it so that it has a good coverage. Meanwhile we put the car in a cool place so that the paint dries very well and we take care of doing what we need, which would be the wheels and the emblems.

Ya hemos finalizado con la mayor parte de la carrocería. Una vez hayamos terminado este paso con pintura de color blanco brillante en spray pintamos el auto. Le ponemos 2 capas para que tenga buen cubrimiento. Mientras tanto ponemos el auto en un lugar fresco para que la pintura seque muy bien y nos ocupamos de hacer lo que nos falta que seria las ruedas y los emblemas.

We make the emblem of the M and then we paint it with a red permanent marker, the same we do with the circle with the number 5 that goes on the doors. To make the windshield we used a transparent plastic. I took the one from an old LCD screen, I disassembled it and inside it had many plastic sheets.

Hacemos el emblema de la M y luego la pintamos con marcador permanente de color rojo, lo mismo hacemos con el circulo con el numero 5 que va en las puertas. Para hacer el parabrisas utilizamos un plastico transparente yo tomé el de una vieja pantalla LCD, la desarme y dentro de ella tenia muchas láminas de plástico.

Then we continue with the wheels, to make them we use PVC plastic tube, cut 4 circles of 1cm each and seal it on one of its parts with cardboard. Then with black paint we coat the wheels and make the axle so that it can roll inside two hollow plastic tubes inside.

Luego seguimos con las ruedas, para hacerlas utilizamos tubo de plastico PVC, cortamos 4 circulos de 1cm cada uno y lo sellamos por una de sus partes con carton. Luego con pintra negras recubrimos las ruedas y hacemos el eje para que pueda rodar dentro de dos tubos de plastico huecos por dentro.

When the paint on the car has dried, we begin to put the characteristic emblems of the Match 5. On the doors we put the famous number 5 and on the front hood we put the M in red that we made.

Cuando ya se haya secado la pintura del auto comenzamos a ponerle los emblemas caracteristicos del Match 5. En las puertas colocamos el famoso número 5 y en el capó delantero ponemos la M en color rojo que hicimos.

The last step to finish is to place the wheels and we will have finished the Match 5 Speed ​​Racer.

El ultimo paso para finalizar es colocarle las ruedas y habremos terminado el Match 5 Speed Racer.

FINAL WORK

This is the end of Match 5. It measures 15 cm long by 10 cm wide and 5 cm high. It was a beautiful experience to relive the nostalgia of this memory of my childhood. Así ha quedado finalizado el Match 5. Alcanza unas medidas de 15 cm de largo por 10 cm de ancho y 5 cm de alto. Fue una experiencia hermosa al revivir la nostalgia de este recuerdo de mi infancia.
