NeedleworkMonday __DIY Wedding Basket for Coins and/or Rings__ (for June Brides?)

Hello my dear Needleworkers and Hive family out there. Anything new today? June is fast approaching, and this month is supposed to be a love month for those who are ready to join the sanctity of matrimony. In short, wedding bells are in the air! Well, am sure it won't happen this time because of the much unwelcome CoronaV.

Anyways, let's pretend that everything is back to normal and that you're in a hurry to bind the ties together in such a short notice, but you don't want to do it without preamble because it is always if not all, a woman's dream to walk the aisle and say "I do's" with their partner in life. At the same time, women often do the worrying as to the motif and theme of the wedding.

Now let's start with the outfit of the little girls. I will start with the baskets for coin or ring. Whenever I think of what to make, I always look for something that I have in my "treasure chest"!
I need the following:
-basket
-silk cloth
-little pillow
-lace
-button
-needle
-thread

I chose this decorative basket which has been a part of our Christmas tree since my kids were still small. Actually, it's supposed to be a steamer for rice cake, but I made my order with additional handle on it because I had another plan in mind.

I looked for a little pillow and wrapped it with white silk. All you need to do is measure the circumference and make a paper pattern, fold it into quarts, then make a cut for about half the radius of the circles. Next get your thread and needle, sew the edge using a basting stitch so that you can easily pull it when you close it at the center. You need a nips button to conceal the hole. You will use it to hold the thread while you insert the needle going up to the center. That is where you place the little basket.

Cut your ruffles according to desired width. The length should be 3 times the measurement of the circumference of the basket in order to make it more lovely.

See, it looks more dainty. You can make a lace pouch for the coins if you like then tie it around the handle.

That's all for now guys, I have more wedding stuffs to show you on my next posts.

Thanking @needlework, @muscara, @shanibeer and @marblely for this group of wonderful community of needleworkers!

Take care and keep safe always.

Till then,
@sarimanok

Thank you! Actually they love these months of May and June. Perhaps it's because it's summer and flowers blooming all over. You can have this kind of basket on your silver anniversary, right?

You made a plain basket look so beautiful @sarimanok. I can imagine a flower girl carrying the basket and tossing petals on the aisle. Lovely :) Hope the virus goes away soon for June brides.

Thanks dear! Being creative will add to the beauty of anything you make. Actually, am aiming for knitting soon. I haven't tried that yet
