A Happy cool day everyone! I hope you're all doing good despite the calamities outside. We too are experiencing the wrath of typhoon Auring especially in other places. The northeast moonsoon had slowed the strong wind, and it is expected to go out tomorrow though we are still having heavy rains.

Here in our locality, we had been dealing with the awakening of our Mount Canlaon. It had spewed ashes again and 420 tons of lava at the back of the mountain which is on the occidental side.

Safety Precautions

We preferred to stay at home for safety as always, away from the storm, the ashes and of course from this pandemic.

Operation Clearing

In short, I kept myself busy with the household chores. I rearranged my stuffs in our cabinets and the big boxes which was not unboxed since we transferred to another location. To my dismay, the crocheted bed cover had several tatters! Well, rodents tend to go on higher place especially during rainy season.

Since I didn't have the soft yarn available, I used my white yarn instead even if it's not of the same fiber. The important thing is to make it usable again before I push it in one corner and forgotten again!

I need to join the ends to see to it that it won't be detached and follow the design.

There were several cuts on the edges but I've been patient in doing the repairs. At last it was whole again. It would be a waste to let it go with the hard labor when it was created.

I am also happy that the beanie I crocheted for my great-granddaughter fitted her well. Hmmm, next time, I will have something nice for her.

This is all for now, thank you all for dropping by. Big thanks to @crosheille, @shanibeer,@muscara, @marblely and @neumannsalva

Love,

At this point in time, cough n cold is expected so wearing of masks is advantageous.

Hello, yes, take care of the environment. Good that you were able to repair the bedcover with fabric, and that you can continue to use it. The hat is also beautiful, it looks great on the baby. Regards

Thank you. Yes, all we can do is to keep safe as much as possible.
It is the same thread I used in making the hat too .

Indeed my friend. We can do it especially when we're not busy. Actually, I have many remnants to keep myself busy so I placed them in another box for future "calendar schedules" lol!

I can't imagine living near typhoons and volcanoes. Where I live, lightning only struck once and then it rained heavily. But there are other parts of the country where lightning strikes every day during these months.

I hope one day to knit a warm blanket or mat and when it is unravelled I will repair it as soon as possible. Stay tuned and good vibes!

Given the choice, you want to live in a place free from all these but it seems Paradise is only available up there...All we can do is to make the most of it, and yes, a warm blanket made by you is more lovable, right? Mine is warm you won't feel there were holes in it. Lol!
I haven't tried knitting yet and it's not available in our local stores since we love in a tropical country. I will find some online and make my first step soon. Thank you for dropping by.
