Greetings to all! Let me present to you my project for this week. It's an old crochet work which was one of my starters way back my elementary years. I was in Grade 6 when I first learned to use the hook. The one in red is my original work.I was looking for something in my boxes when I saw it. I stared at my old patchwork. I guess it's about time for me to continue what I've started decades ago!

I used the white thread for variation.

Looking at my old crochet work brings back old memories. I was already a needleworker at early age though I haven't ventured on more complicated designs.

Well, I hope to make a center piece out of these patches. I stopped crocheting when we had power shortage. I thought of finishing my tie and dye project as well.

TIE AND DYE

I used a yellow t-shirt with green dye for color blending.

I used old plastic bags to tie knots in circles.

For flashback of my previous work, you need to boil the water first then put a small amount of vinegar and salt. Then dip the T-shirt back to back until all the dye sticks to the fiber. Rinse well.

My day was full till night as our neighbor came to have her unfinished curtains to be turned into pillowcases instead.

I was able to make 6 pieces of pillowcases and smiled, thinking and counting on how many balls of thread I could buy when I collect my "fees" afterwards.

This is all for now, thanking you all for this community of needleworkers: @shanibeer, @needleworks, @muscara, @marblely and @neumannsalva. God bless you guys!

Keep safe everyone!

Till then,

@Sarimanok

Yes sis, it was already there when the first man landed on the moon, it surpassed the war yet I carried it with me in Manila to avoid the war. Now I've got 5 kids with grandkids! Time to finish it.

What an industrious day! You made so many things... I would have needed a lot more time to finish them. I love how the shirt came out, and as tie dye is so on vogue now, ou will have much more fun with the shirt.

Yes, they're the fruits of our labor. Though there are times when we feel down when our works are not well appreciated. It's good that @theycallmedan gave me an upvote via his "top 5 hiver's Initiative Challenge" wherein my post was recommended by @olivia08. Of course, I also appreciated your upvotes. I know how it is when you have many members to be upvoted as well. I was hoping @appreciator noticed my works too.
