Greetings to all needle artists and supporters!
Welcome to NeedleWorkMonday Community’s 107th Featured Posts!

This is a weekly curation showcasing the needlework of our very own HIVEians.

Every Monday we get together to share our love and passion for the needle arts, posting from the NeedleWorkMonday Community and using the #needleworkmonday tag. On all other days we use the #needlework tag. We enjoy each other’s creations, ideas, patterns, tips and shortcuts.

Let us as a community, continue to show our love and support by visiting and commenting on each other's work while inspiring one another with the beautiful works of needle art that we do. Nothing makes a heart happier than to read a supportive comment from a fellow member!

Crochet Tutorial for a Christmas Tree by @jonalyn2020

grafik.png

Every country, every culture, every region has their own traditions about holidays and seasons, with decorations that are often handmade. For a lot of us, these preparations are a big part of the event itself. @jonalyn shows us how to crochet a small Christmas tree and tells us that in the Philippines, they start counting to Christmas in September - that's a long time to prepare and celebrate!

Meet Little Shroomy by @romeskie

Doing crafts like needlework means challenges - either made by yourself or b< others. A harmless question like "Could you make me something like this?" makes our brain work at full tilt. We think about projects we made, about things that we saw that were similar. We start looking through patterns that are close to what's the goal - and then we start to work. Every previous project, every problem we already solved, every mistake we made, they all help us. And in the end, most often we get the result we want. And if it was a challenge from someone else, another person is convinced that we can do magic ;)

Teaching my niece to knit by @irenenavarroart

grafik.png

Teaching others what we know, especially when it's a family member, is fun (though can be hard work, too). Let's hope that @irenenavarroart's niece will stay with this hobby and make other projects like this cute little amigurumi - great work for a first project!

Some Pieces Of Priceless Heirloom From Generation To Generation And My Own Needlework by @diosarich

grafik.png

Needlework has a long tradition going back to prehistoric times when the first humans sat around a fire and showed each other their crafts. Though needlework is subject to fashions, we cherish what we still have of the work of our ancestors - perhaps even more if we do the same crafts! @diosarich shows us some of her mother's works and what she herself works on, keeping on the family tradition :)
