RE: How to look like a fashion model with no effort – wardrobe challenge

A kitten sweater!

And you're right: a wardrobe with only a dozen pieces in it makes you wash them permanently. Which leads to a short life of said garments and if I see them myself, I want my clothes to have a long life!

Probably no post from me today, if I don't find some time this afternoon to knit a few rows. I rediscovered my love for double-knitting (and my hate for cotton yarn)...

I never thought about the abuse the garments will have if they are constantly in the washing machine!!! You are right, this is another argument to make the wardrobe a bit bigger. Although I perhaps buy and sew to many clothes, I really love them all. Most of my garments are with me for longer than 10 years... mostly as long as they fit (sigh)
ANd sorry to hear you have a bit of stress.... and even more pity that you have to use cotton yarn. I have read there is some variety of cotton yarn that’s soft and glides over the needles, but my experience so far is vastly different. Cotton was always tough and very slow to knit. So, I feel you! <3
