After making series of mistake trying to sew a flair dress, I had to make a modification of the design because of an unprofessional mistake i wasn't able to avoid and wouldn't have my dress looking out of place.

This is what happened.

The fabric has a pattern of lines that I ought to follow, initially I made the cutting of the flair for the lower part of the dress and that was where the mistake happened.
The pattern of design lines were disturb like you can see Here.
Some took a vertical direction while other were horizontal.
So I got a mixed direction of the grain lines.

This mixed direction of design lines wouldn't speak well of a seamstress 🤔😃😂😂

This is the correction I made

Thank heavens I had left over fabrics so I wanted to turn the flair dress into something more presentable so I ripped off the seams and use the remaining fabrics to make a 10inches straight gathers on the upper bodice turning the long flair dress into a short one.

And the flair will have to be turned into a normal skirt on its own hence I need to purchase a plain net lace without any line design and this will fit perfectly into the skirt no matter where the lines are facing.

Tutorial of the making process.

Here is the tutorial of the making process of this outfit.
I cut a flair using my waist measurement and full length like this.

For the upper part, I made a pattern draft of a princess dart style line using my bust point waist dart and mid armhole.
The pattern was then used to cut out my fabrics.

This was both the front and back block

Sewing and ironing.

I didn't use an interface in the cloth which I ought to because whenever you add these interface to the linings and clothes it makes the fabric thicker and firmer on the body structure especially for thin fabrics. This was not available in the house and I wasn't ready to hit the town to get some.

Stitching and ironing was done without them.

That was the whole long process of the making and correction of this dress, I turned one design mistake into something more beautiful.
