@needleworkmonday. Me encantan los lunes y me preparo en la semana para mostrar un poco de mi trabajo de costura que me encanta, más, cuando me toca hacer una pieza que no he realizado nunca. Tal es el caso de mi publicación de hoy.
Una amiga muy querida, con la cual trabajé durante mi labor docente, me pidió que si podía hacerle un traje de baño, pero que ella tenía el modelo y lo quería tal cual, ya que ese le quedaba muy bien. Por supuesto le dije que con gusto se lo haría, sólo que me diera el tiempo necesario, ya que no había hecho trajes de baño enteros, sólo de dos piezas y tengo que analizar para idear el proceso de confección que debía seguir.

@needleworkmonday. I love Mondays and I get ready during the week to show a little of my sewing work that I love, especially when I get to make a piece that I have never made before. Such is the case with my today's post.
A very dear friend, with whom I worked during my teaching, asked me if I could make her a swimsuit, but that she had the model and wanted it as it was, since it fit her very well. Of course I told her that I would be happy to make it for her, but she just had to give me the time I needed because I had not made whole swimsuits, only two-piece swimsuits and I had to analyze to devise the tailoring process I had to follow.
El traje de baño que quería mi amiga es el que se muestra a continuación.
The swimsuit my friend wanted is the one shown below.
Me gustó mucho el modelo, además de traje de baño también se puede usar perfectamente como Body por el modelo, tipo de tela y el estampado que es muy actual.
La tela utilizada para la confección del traje de baño de mi amiga es una Lycra estampada, aproximadamente medio metro, combinada con una tela de maya a juego con el estampado de la tela de lycra, de unos 25 cm.
I really liked the model, in addition to swimsuit it can also be used perfectly as a Body for the model, type of fabric and the print that is very current.
The fabric used to make my friend's swimsuit is a printed Lycra, about half a meter, combined with a mesh fabric to match the print of the lycra fabric, about 25 cm.
Los materiales que utilicé fueron los siguientes
The materials I used were as follows
- Tela lycra estampada.
- Tela de forro para traje de baño.
- Tela de maya.
- Elástico.
- Moldes.
- Hilo, Tijera,.
- Máquina de coser.
- Printed lycra fabric.
- Swimsuit lining fabric.
- Maya fabric.
- Elastic.
- Molds.
- Thread, scissors.
- Sewing machine.
Comencé, elaborando el patrón o molde. Para lo cual saqué en papel, cada pieza que forma del modelo, para luego cortar en la tela y no dañarla.
El proceso de elaboración del patrón quedó de la siguiente manera.
I started by making the pattern or mold. For which I took out each piece that forms the model on paper, then cut into the fabric and not damage it.
The process of making the pattern was as follows.
Corte de las Piezas en Tela || Cutting the pieces in fabric
1.- Se coloca la tela Lycra en una mesa, doblamos al ancho de la pieza que deseamos cortar. Comencé cortando la parte trasera de la panty que es una sola pieza.
1.- Place the Lycra fabric on a table, fold it to the width of the piece we want to cut. I started by cutting the back of the panty, which is a single piece.
2.- Cortamos la parte superior, del traje de baño. En este caso sacamos dos piezas iguales, porque así lo requiere este modelo.
2.- We cut the upper part of the swimsuit. In this case we cut two equal pieces, because this model requires it.
3.- Cortamos la parte delantera de la panty, que al igual que la trasera será una sola pieza.
3.- We cut the front part of the panty, which like the back part will be a single piece.
4.- En este paso pasamos a cortar las mismas piezas nuevamente pero ahora en la tela de forro. Por lo que tendremos la misma cantidad de piezas en lycra que en forro.
4.- In this step we cut the same pieces again but now in the lining fabric. So we will have the same amount of pieces in lycra as in lining.
5.- Cortamos en la tela de maya dos piezas. Una la parte central del delantero del traje de baño y otra que será la parte de la espada baja.
5.- We cut two pieces in the mesh fabric. One is the central part of the front of the swimsuit and the other will be the part of the low sword.
Confección del traje de baño || Making the swimsuit
1.- Comenzamos armando la parte superior delantera. Para lo cual pegamos la tela de maya a la lycra estampada y al forro al mismo tiempo.
1.- We start assembling the upper front part. To do this, we glue the mesh fabric to the printed lycra and the lining at the same time.
2.- Cosemos la parte de la espala baja a los lados o costados de la pieza trabajada en el paso anterior.
2.- We sew the lower back part to the sides of the piece we worked on in the previous step.
3.- Pasamos a trabajarla panty. Primero cosemos la entrepierna enfrentando los derechos de la lycra estampada y cosemos. Hacemos lo mismo con las piezas cortadas en la tela de forro.
3.- We move on to the panty. First we sew the crotch facing the right sides of the printed lycra and sew. We do the same with the pieces cut from the lining fabric.
4.- Pasamos una costura floja por todo el contorno de la panty para fijar el forro a la lycra y luego trabajar mejor al pegar el elástico.
4.- We pass a loose seam all around the panty to fix the lining to the lycra and then work better when gluing the elastic.
5.-Cosemos los lados de la panty.
5.-Stitch the sides of the panty.
6.- Pegamos el elástico en la parte de las piernas de la panty.
6.- Glue the elastic on the leg part of the panty.
7.- Pegamos el elástico en la parte de la blusa o parte superior, específicamente en los costados y espalda.
7.- Glue the elastic on the top part of the blouse, specifically on the sides and back.
8 .- Unimos con costura la panty con la pieza superior.
8 - Sew the panty to the top piece.
9 .- Cortamos una tira larga para colocarla en la parte del cuello y servirá para amarrar o enlazar en la parte trasera del cuello el traje de baño.
9 .- We cut a long strip to place it in the neck part and it will be used to tie or link in the back of the neck of the swimsuit.
Con este último paso hemos finalizado esta hermosa creación. Efectivamente me llevó mi tiempo pero lo logré y me encantó el resultado final.
With this last step we have finished this beautiful creation. Indeed it took me my time but I did it and I loved the final result.
Confieso que cuando me piden hacer algo exactamente igual a otro me esfuerzo mucho porque los detalles cuentan. Pero creo que mi amiga estará encantada con su nuevo traje de baño, que seguro usará en las hermosa playas de acá de Cumaná-Venezuela.
Gracias a mi hija @lucianav por ser mi modelo favorita a lucir cada prenda y esta no fue la excepción.

I confess that when I am asked to make something exactly like another one I try very hard because details count. But I think my friend will be delighted with her new swimsuit, which she will surely use in the beautiful beaches here in Cumaná-Venezuela.

Lograste explicarte muy bien, el paso a paso es claro, veo que es un trabajo minucioso en donde todas las piezas deben encajar perfectamente, de tal forma lograr un buen resultado, Me encanta la tela, es super llamativa por el motivo que tiene.
