Embroidery as recovery therapy. / Bordado como terapia de recuperación. ❤

Hello friends at Needle Work! I hope you're doing well 💕. It's me reporting here, this time with something totally different from what I usually do. Today marks a week of being in the hospital due to a surgery that was scheduled. The recovery periods are being longer than I thought but even so I'm taking it with the greatest of optimism.

¡Hola amigos de Needle Work! Espero que esten bien ❤. Soy yo reportándome por aquí, esta vez con algo totalmente diferente a lo que suelo hacer. Hoy se cumple una semana de estar en el hospital debido a una cirugia que tenia programada. Los plazos de recuperación estan siendo mas largos de lo que yo creía pero aún así lo estoy llevando con el mayor de los optimismos.

I naively believed that by yesterday I would be back at home but it was not like that. I have several more days here. That is why my dear sister @micoltatiana offered to bring me all her embroidery equipment so that I would have something to entertain me with.

Ingenuamente creía que para ayer ya estaría de vuelta en mi casa pero no fue así. Tengo para varios días más aquí. Es por eso que mi querida hermana @micoltatiana se ofreció a traerme todo su equipo de bordado para que tuviera algo con lo cual entretenerme.

A while ago, she used to embroider drawings of all kinds. Most of them ended up as the cover of some handmade note-books that she made herself, many others as appliques in various articles. As I could rest better, a few days ago she brought me this pillow with one of her embroidery projects.

Hace un tiempo, ella solía bordar dibujos de todo tipo. La mayoría terminaban como portada de unos cuadernos artesanales que ella misma hacía. Otros tantos terminaban como apliques en diversos artículos. Justamente, para que pueda descansar mejor, unos días atrás me trajo este almohadón con uno de sus bordados.

Obviously I don't know anything about how to embroider, but my idea with this is to make a drawing that represents my days here and that in the future, reminds me how strong I was to endure everything that happened to me with the health problem that I have been dealing with for more than a year. I hope that this surgery has been the definitive closure of this entire stage ❤.

Obviamente no sé nada sobre como bordar, pero mi idea con esto es hacer algún dibujo que represente mis días aquí y que en el futuro me recuerde lo fuerte que fui al soportar todo lo que me pasó con el problema de salud con el que vengo lidiando hace más de un año. Espero que esta cirugía sea el cierre definitivo de toda esta etapa ❤.
