Needleworkmonday: Making Strawberries

avatar

Hello everybody,

Happy Mother's Day!

Hmm, I missed needlework, I think about 2 weeks ago I hav'nt shared anything here. Hook down for me in those days because of my health, my skin problem still there. Not yet solve even I took antibiotics and checked up with 3 Doktors. Then, this time I tried another way the herbal way, hope and pray my feet skin will be okey.

The other day, I started another bedsheet recycling, same the bedsheet is from one of the live selling in FB which I participated then the fastest to type, Mine...the goods is mine. To match the strawberry print fabric, I crocheted a matching strawberry stitch.

Using a polyester 8 ply yarn and 3.00 crochet hook forming the upper breast part, I must crochet 3" by 12" rectangle. This form is easily made with commercial yarn that is good quality but this 5 stranded polyester then doubled it to 10 strands, difficult to crochet my pace is too slow, do not glide smoothly usually this 10 strands there is one or two do not glide together with the other strands result I always undo my work.

Am referring to polyester strands available on line...

With 4 ply indophil yarns, I do not have a problem, easy to crochet even the strands are not wind together or wind loosely...

I really thought I could attached to the fabric and I can wear it today and take a selfie. But, long time finish especially I just sew by hand.

See the print? I love the strawberries! That's why I texted fast during the live selling, thankful I was the first to text MINE. Plus it is a double sided fabric bedsheet. When it was shown my mind abruptly imagined I can turn this bedsheet into a house dress or we call it here as daster "damit pang bahay."

At the moment, I'm half way crocheting this rectangle.

Hope to finish this as soon as possible, am excited to wear it. The style is just as Alexie's house dress.

Just until here, guys thanks for reading my blog.

Hello, I look forward to your speedy recovery. Because of the language, I don't quite understand what your skin problem is. I can only tell you that when the body has too many toxins inside, the symptoms are expressed in the skin. I recommend you to eat vegetables, drink plenty of water and connect your feet to the earth (to reduce stress).

About the strawberry stitch, that stitch is the one I used to knit the dress of the quinoa girl. It works much better for you, haha, good vibes!

Coconut oil is also a great ally. It is usually sold in supermarkets or health food shops. You can apply it directly to the affected areas of the face (results are visible almost immediately) and/or use 1/2 teaspoon for the first few days, then increase to 1 tablespoon.

The bedsheet is so cool, looks of summer and holiday and I can also envision one of your lovely dresses with crochet at the top. But I feel you with the yarn, getting all the strands at once is no fun especially if the yarn does not glide well.
I hope your skin will get better soon <3 <3
