Here I am again with a very simple project, ideal for beginners. I like to share this kind of simple projects, because they are a good option for those who are starting to knit in the crochet technique not to feel frustrated not to see an immediate tangible result, from experience when I have taught knitting classes, I know that if someone is new to a knitting technique, and starts with complex projects, frustration can visit and if the learner is not in a very good mood, he can get frustrated and not continue with the learning, so he abandons the goal of learning.

So today I bring a project made only with chain stitches, a basic stitch of the crochet technique. Besides, knitting chain stitches for beginners allows you to get familiar with the knitting technique and to get your hand used to knitting.

This headband is for a birthday gift for a little friend, she is five years old, and she is a flirt, she has long hair and her grandmother, a great friend, has made sure that she always wears a bow, hat or headband in combination with her clothes, so making her a headband is a good gift option.

Por acá nuevamente me presento con un proyecto bien senillo, ideal para principiantes. Me gusta compartir este tipo de proyectos sencillos, ya que son una buena opción para que quien se esté iniciando a tejer en la técnica crochet no se sienta frustrado de no ver un resultado tangible inmediato, por experiencia de cuando he dado clases de tejido, sé que si alguien es nuevo en una técnica de tejido, y comienza con proyectos complejo, la frustración puede visitar y si el aprendiz no está de ánimo muy bueno, se puede frustrar y no seguir con el aprendizaje, por lo cual abandona el objetivo de aprender.

Así que hoy traigo un proyecto realizado solo con cadenetas, un punto básico de la técnica de crochet. Además, tejer cadenetas para los principiantes, les permite familiarizarte con la técnica de tejido y de que la mano se acostumbre a tejer.

Este cintillo es para un regalo de cumpleaños de una amiguita, ella cumple cinco años, y es coqueta, tiene el cabello largo y su abuela, una gran amiga, se ha encargado de que siempre lleve un lazo, gorro o cintillo en combinación con la ropa, así que hacerle un cintillo es una buena opción de regalo.

Before I begin to show you the steps of the project, I want to tell you that it is ideal to use a thick yarn, that is, check the yarn label for the thickness, ideally for this project it should be of medium thickness. It is important to note that it can be done with any thickness of yarn, but if you use thick yarn, it covers the headband faster and the appearance of the fabric highlights the chain stitch more. Remember to always use a crochet hook according to the yarn you have selected to knit, the selection of the crochet hook is fundamental in the resul.

For this project, I selected multi-strand yarn, honestly I do not like knitting in this yarn, it is not a good yarn to undo a work, when trying to undo it gets very tangled and even in some cases is damaged, another disadvantage is that if you do not knit carefully, that all the strands are aligned, the disparity is reflected in the fabric, which does not look good. I'm using it so I can finish it, and I still have one six rolls left. I remember when I got to the haberdashery and saw that these yarns came in, I bought several, I don't think I'll ever dare to buy again. Ah, another disadvantage for me, it is not a cotton thread. What it has worked well for me, is to make tassels. Although I don't like it for knitting yarn, I have knit several pieces with that yarn.

Antes de comenzar a mostrar los pasos del proyecto, quiero comentarles que es ideal usen un hilo grueso, es decir, verificar en la etiqueta del hilo el grosor, lo ideal para este proyecto es que sea del grosor medio hacía adelante. Es importante destacar, se puede realizar con cualquier grosor de hilo, solo que si se usa hilo grueso, se cubre el cintillo más rápido y la apariencia del tejido destaca más la cadeneta. Recuerden siempre usar un ganchillo acorde al hilo que se ha seleccionado para tejer, la selección del ganchillo es fundamental en el resultado.

Para este proyecto, seleccioné hilo multihebras, sinceramente no me agrada mucho tejer en el mencionado hilo, no es un hilo bueno para deshacer una labor, al tratar de deshacer se enreda mucho e inclusive en algunos casos se daña, otra desventaja es que si no se teje con cuidado, que todas las hebras estén alineadas, se refleja en el tejido la disparidad, lo cual no luce bien. Lo estoy usando para poder terminarlo, y aún me quedan uno seis rollos. Recuerdo que cuando llegué a la mercería y vi que llegaron esos hilos, compré varios, creo que no me volveré a animar a comprar. Ah! otra desventaja para mí, no es un hilo de algodón. Para lo que me ha funcionado bien, es para hacer borlas.

Aunque no me gusta para tejer el hilo, he tejido varias piezas con ese hilo. Y el tejer en este hilo, ha fortalecido mi paciencia y además como me gustan que mis proyectos queden bien terminados, he tenido que aliarme con el hilo, quererlo y así lograr el resultado esperado. También he usado el hilo que les comento para tejer parte de un amigurrumi, yo buscando cualquier forma de terminarme el hilo. El caparazón de la preciosa tortuga está tejido con el hilo multihebras, el resto de la tortuga si la tejí en mi tipo de hilo favorito, el algodón.

Steps / Pasos

To begin, knit a ch of about 30 centimeters. The chain stitch will be used to wrap around the headband. When the chain stitch is finished and the headband is still unwrapped, weave chain stitches until the entire headband is covered.

Para comenzar, tejer una cad de unos 30 cm. La cadeneta se usará para enrollar sobre el cintillo, cuando se acabe la cadeneta y aún falte envolver el cintillo volver a tejer cadenetas hasta que haya cubierto todo el cintillo.

Place hot silicone on one end of the headband.

Colocar silicone caliente en uno de los extremos del cintillo.

Attach the beginning of the chain stitch to the end where the hot silicone was placed.

Fijar el inicio de la cadeneta en el extremo en donde fue colocado el silicone caliente.

Place hot silicone on top of the headband, then wrap with the chain, adjusting the chain well to the headband. Important, do not fill the entire headband with hot silicone, place the silicone as you go along, place a part of silicone, wrap the chain over the headband and so on until you finish.

Colocar silicone caliente encima del cintillo, luego envolver con la cadeneta ajustando bien la cadeneta al cintillo. Importante, no llenar todo el cintillo de silicone caliente, ir colocando el silicone a medida se avance, se coloca una parte de silicone, se envuelve la cadeneta sobre el cintillo y así sucesivamente hasta terminar.

I like to have woven elements to decorate, such as ribbons of various colors and shapes, hearts, pom-poms, among others; so that when I complete a project, I can try on the woven piece and select the one I think looks best. My decision was between the yellow flower and the amigurrumi.

Me gusta tener elementos tejidos para decorar, como lacitos de varios colores y formas, corazones, pom-poms, entre otros; de tal forma cuando complete un proyecto, poder probar sobre la pieza tejida y seleccionar la que considere le quede mejor. Mi decisión estaba entre de la flor amarilla y el amigurrumi.

I finally decided on the amigurrumi, I think the girl I'm going to give it to will like it.

Finalmente me decidí por el amigurrumi, pienso que a la niña a quien le voy a regalar le va gustar.

Luego de haber completado la secuencia correspondiente se ha realizado un hermoso cintillo que seguro le va a encantar a la niña, en especial por lo vistoso del amigurrumi, a los niños le encantan los muñecos, a lo mejor la niña en vez de usar el cintillo va querer jugar con él, veamos si la abuela la deja, a mi me parece bien que quiera jugar.
