Tejido a crochet #15: Flores de aguaymanto (patrón libre) / Flowers of aguaymanto (free pattern)

La botánica de las flores son asombrosas. La flor de aguaymanto es una flor pentámera, es decir los órganos florales (sépalos, pétalos y androceo) están distribuidos en grupos de 5; esto es muy importante cuando se trata de botánica. Si bien las flores se caracterizan por lo estético, debemos recordar la importancia de este órgano reproductivo, siendo este la formación del fruto y las semillas.

The botany of the flowers is amazing. The aguaymanto flower is a pentamerous flower, i.e. the floral organs (sepals, petals and androcecium) are distributed in groups of 5; this is very important when it comes to botany. Although the flowers are characterised by aesthetics, we must remember the importance of this reproductive organ, which is the formation of the fruit and the seeds.

Materiales /materials:

• Hilos de algodón (4 hebras) / Cotton thread (4 strands)
• crochet 2 mm
• tijera / scissor
• aguja lanera / wool needle
• marcador de vueltas o clips / lap marker or clips
• silicona fría / cold silicone
• argollas para llaveros / key rings

Pétalos / Tejer con hilo amarillo

Intercambiar con color morado

Dejar hebra larga del color morado (20cm), para tejer 8 cadenas y regresar con 7 dez y así formar la argolla del llavero

Colocar un clip en cada hendidura entre las mancha morada. Para recordar dónde el tejido se va elevando y tejer puntos medio altos y altos.

Rnd 11: (2pb, 1pma, 1pa, 1pma, 2pb, 1dez, 2cad, 1dez atrás, 1dez ) x 5
Dejar hebra larga (15cm).

Esconder el hilo restante y bajar 2 hileras hasta llegar a la hendidura, la cual separa las manchas moradas. Vamos bordando poco a poco y escondiendo las hebras entre los puntos (a manera de zigzag), formando las 5 divisiones.

Estambres / colores morado y crema

Para mantener unido los 5 estambres, utilizar piscas de silicona líquida

Sépalos / color morado

Cambiar a color verde claro
1dez, (6 cad, 2dez, 1pb, 1pma, 1pa, dejo un espacio y tejo 2pb)x 5
Dejar hebra para coserlo a la flor.

Petals / Knit with yellow yarn

Interchange with purple colour.

Leave long strand of purple (20cm), to weave 8 chains and return with 7 sl st to form the ring of the keyring.

Place a paper clip in each indentation between the purple patches. To remember where the knitting goes up and knit medium high and high stitches..

Start with the following sequence: 1sc, 1sl st, 2ch, 1sl st back.
Rnd 11: (2sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 2sc, 1sl st, 2ch, 1sl st back, 1sl st ) x 5
Leave yarn long (15cm).

Fig 4 and 5.
Hide the remaining thread and go down 2 rows until you reach the slit, which separates the purple spots. We embroider little by little and hide the threads between the stitches (in a zigzag pattern), forming the 5 divisions.

Stamens / colours purple and cream

To hold the 5 stamens together, use liquid silicone peas.

Sepals / purple

Rnd 1: start with a magic ring and weave in 7 hdc
Rnd 2: inc (14)
Rnd 3: knit one stitch in each stitch (14)

Change to light green
1sl st, (6 ch, 2sl st, 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, leave a gap and knit 2sc)x 5
Leave yarn to sew into the flower.
