Amigurumi #89: La abeja Maya

Explora y descubre

Hola, espero la estén pasando bien
Hi, I hope you're all right

Amigurumis no planeados:

The world of amigurumis is very wide, today we will deal with the process before the creation of amigurumis. I am separating it into 2 types:

Planned Amigurumis: Amigurumists weave what they like. For example, at the beginning I knitted the 2018 World Cup mascot Zabivaka, many koalas, key rings of childhood characters, Splinterlands characters, among others. By the way, all the above mentioned I will keep on knitting them, only these months I will be a bit busy with other stuff.

On the other hand we have the amigurumis with their own designs. Personally, the inspiration comes to me at once (haha), when I observe abstract figures and little by little I give them form and movement in my mind, followed by the colours and approximating the size. Then I try to capture it in a sheet, I write down the date and the colours on the side to avoid forgetting. And so, little by little, each character emerges.

Unplanned Amigurumis: Usually, although they are already known characters, I don't know very well what the story is about or what series or cartoon they are. Generally, and if it is within my reach, I try to watch the series, cartoon or film to have a clear context of what I will be weaving.

The latter is the case of the Mayan Bee. I remember that my mother mentioned this bee, hence nothing else. So I watched the film and found out how fabulous, brave and friendly this little bee is. Besides, it teaches you many values and the functions that insects have in nature.

A tejer:

abejpng.png

He began by weaving the legs (figure 1), followed by the corpuscle and alternating the colours between greyish black and yellow (figure 2). The head was woven according to the size of the body, I think I should have given it a couple more magnifications at the beginning (figure 3).

The arms were woven to complete the body of the character (Figure 4). The hair consisted of a magic ring (6), magnifications (12) and each strand was woven (medium-high stitches) according to the character's hairstyle (figure 5), the eyes and nose were placed (figure 6) and finally the wings, antennae and embroidery of the face (figure 7).

¡Y eso es todo!,

¡…Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!

¡Buenas vibras!.
