Amigurumi #102: Kelp Initiate
¡Hola, espero la estén pasando bien!
Hi, I hope you are having a good time!
When I saw this character, at first glance he looked like a cute little toad, jaja. Then when I read his story, it said that he is a seaweed that mutated and came out of the sea to protect people from the toxic substances that the world emanates.
Yes, he is a character inspired by the online card game @splinterlands. It's a water type and I use it often, because of its good defence and above all it's low mana.

A tejer/ To weave:
We started at the tail, with a magic ring of 4 stitches. Increases were made to form a cone (fig. 1). The waist and chest were formed by decreases and increases (fig. 2). As we had a wide head, we started with a magic ring of 7 stitches, until we reached 4 stitches and 1 increase, we kept 9 straight rows to continue with decreases (fig. 3).
For the arms we also started with a magic ring of 7 stitches and formed it by decreases and increases. The fingers were knitted with 4 chains and 3 slipped stitches back, for the thumb 3 chains and 2 slipped stitches back (fig. 4). After attaching the arms to the body, the ears, the tip of the head and the neck and waist ornaments were woven (figs. 5 and 6).
For the weaving of the green algae, the most common crochet stitches were used, i.e. slip stitch, half stitch, increases, decreases, half double crochet, double crochet and also a thinner crochet (fig. 7 and 8). Finally the embroidery was done, according to the character (fig. 9).
¡Y eso es todo!,
¡…Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!
The eyes were placed between rows 12 and 13 and leaving 9 spaces.
Really cool puppet! I love it.
