DIY- Quick and Beautiful gown!

Have you thought of making a beautiful but quick gown for yourself, let's get started.

Get all the measurements ready,(hip,waist,length,shoulder,burst).

  1. Fold your material into 2 unequal part.
  2. Mark your desired length measurements, from the top down to where it stops.
  3. From the top mark down to 8 inches the take your burst measurements across by dividing it by 4.
  4. Still from the top mark down to 15 inches to take your waist measurement across by dividing by 4
  5. Go back to the top, mark down to 24 inches to take the hip measurements across by dividing it by 4.
  • all this is dependent be on the various measurements, I'm using a hip of 40. If it was wider, the it would be prolly 25.

After marking out. Don't forget to divide your shoulder measurements by 2 and take the measurements across at the top of your fabric.

I make a slit at the front of my dress for styling purpose.

In order to make your work neat, cut a part of the material for turning the neck areas neatly.

I place the cut out part on another part of the material and replicate it. With that I'm semi ready.

I Join them all up, fix a hand and a pocket. I will break down how to fix a pocket some other time. Meanwhile your gown is ready.
