#NEEDLEWORKMONDAY : MAKING A LOOSE BUTTON CLOSING FOR A NEW KNITTED VEST

HELL ALL, HAPPY ....
This is me with my newest vest, a knitted salmon pink vest.
Loose fit and in a very soft wool.

I bought it this afternoon and I am very happy with it.

This is a vest without a closing button or a zipper. Thats nice but i want to have the option to close it. So I went to my sewing kit and pulled out two buttons in a colour that is similar to the wool used.
And I made a loose button closing that I can use or remove when I want.

Here I show you what I did with the ribbon, I hope its a bit clear for all of you that want to try this simple hack, that took me 10 minutes to find all I need. And 10 minutes to make.

This is the closed vest, and with the colored buttons matching and put in the last row of the knitted lines near the last roe of the vest.

I prefer wool to any nylon as its getting cold everywhere and we need to stay warm, that pink is so lovely and just as I wouldn't want my chest open I like the button idea.

Thanks for sharing

That's such a beautiful vest, I'm going to keep my eyes open for something similar when next I go shopping. The buttons make a perfect finish and very functional too.

It was perfect! The buttons combine very well with the lucky color and the ribbon gives it a very delicate touch. I also like the possibility of being able to adapt it to wear it closed. Blessings ✨

What a wonderful cardigan!!! It really looks super soft and I love the light pink color. It suits you perfectly. And I have never seen your technique to add buttons. I love this, as I also have several bought cardigans without closure and I find this cold in winter. Thank you for this tutorial <3

When you have a jacket that is still nice but to tight to close or not in fashion anymore this is a way to. Remove old button and put a button hole in where the old button was and tie it with this new closing hack
