Making a crop top for my high waist Jean trouser
Hello hiveians
A beautiful morning to you all and welcome to my blog.
It's feels so great to be able to make something for yourself and rock it the way you so like.
Sometimes ago, I bought a fabric and after making what wanted from it, I had left over from the fabric but I didn't really know what to do with it so it was abandoned for almost a year now. While looking for the material to make the decorative hand band which I posted yesterday, I saw this fabric and I was like, wow! you are still here.
Immediately i thought of what to do cos it won't be enough to make a full top and sleeves, so, out of my creativity, I decided to make it a kimono crop top which the sleeves will be cut alongside the shoulder.
Let me show you the steps to achieve this.
The fabric was folded in four to cut out the front and back bodice, the shoulder was measured together with the sleeves and I added 1.5" to my waist measurement, I used the length of the fabric as my full length which is 20"
The neckline was cut out using 4 by 5" with shoulder slant of 1", I took it to the sewing machine and had it seem with facing for the neckline.
Nicely done 👍
I love crop tops 😍.
