This beautiful morning, I will be sharing with you how I made this ruffle head band with satin material.

I have been seeing this hand band lately and I thought to myself, you can make one for yourself instead of going to the store to get one.
It can be used alongside your outfit to give it a beautiful look.

Thank God I have a lot of left over fabric from the previous dresses I made so all I needed to do is just to pick one of the fabric and get started with the head band

Let's get started

First I measured 44 by 10" from the green satin for the ruffle

I measured another 18 by 4" for the elastic band

And 15 by 2" to insert in the loop to make the ruffle.

Elastic band of 1" by 7" long.

The making.

Fold the edges of the 44 by 10" together and give it a slant cut just to make the tip smaller and sew together then turn it inside out.

Sew and turn the 18 by 4" inside out too and insert the elastic band in the loop.

Insert the last strip in form of an elastic band in the bigger satin for the ruffle.

Place the one with elastic at the tip of the ruffle and sew together, do same to the other side and that's it

This is how beautiful it looks on me.

You can also try it out on your own
