Today, I will like to share with you the process used to achieve this panel skirt I made. Sometimes ago, I made a post on the cutting process of a princess dart bustier for a peplum blouse with this fabric and after the cutting process,i had a lot of fabric left so I decided to make a panel skirt for the OP peplum blouse.

Cutting and sewing process

The fabric was folded in two to cut out the center front panel using the bust span measurement plus 4", the bust span measurement was measured from the waist line to the knee line before being projected out to the full length measurement.

Same was used to cut out the back panel since am using elastic band for the waist.

One piece was placed on another folded fabric to cut out the other 4 pieces by adding the remaining measurement for the skirt after cutting out the bust span measurement for the front and back.

Taken to the sewing machine, I sew the center panel and two side together separately

The two pieces was sewn together and elastic band was added to the waist for fitting.
