REFLECTIONS "FROM ABOVE " // Amazing Nature Contest: Thematic Challenge - #4/4/21 // REFLEXIONES "DESDE ARRIBA"

I like to go for a walk in the mountains, it is a time that invites me to reflect and appreciate life from another perspective. As a consequence of the pandemic, I don't do much because of the biosecurity measures, but tomorrow I have already agreed with a friend to go up, very early in the morning.

When I read @bucipuci's post, inviting to this Challenge Click here to read it, I thought about the last time I climbed the Avila and the truth, my hands and thoughts went straight to the photo folder. I didn't think twice about reliving those moments.

Me gusta salir a caminar la montaña, es un tiempo que me invita a reflexionar y apreciar la vida desde otra perspectiva. Consecuencia de la pandemia es algo que hago poco por las medidas de bioseguridad, pero mañana ya me puse de acuerdo con una amiga para subir, bien tempranito en la mañana. 

Cuando leí el post de @bucipuci, invitando a este Challenge [Haz click aquí, para leerlo](https://peakd.com/hive-127788/@hive-127788/amazing-nature-contest-thematic-challenge-4421), pensé en la última vez que subí el Ávila y la verdad, mis manos y pensamiento, se fueron directo a la carpeta de fotos. No pensé dos veces en revivir esos momentos.

The Avila is a mountain located north of Caracas, capital of Venezuela. It is a magical mountain, full of trails, forests, hillsides, waterfalls, and trails. It is the natural lung that borders our capital.

From the top, we appreciate life in a different way. When I climb the mountain I see that we are so small and with gigantic problems, it is tragedy and comedy at the same time. We are so small, but our problems are the biggest there can be... good heavens, if only for a moment we could see that we are nothing more than the sum of our parts, we would put aside so much tragedy.

El Avila es una montaña que se encuentra ubicada al Norte de Caracas, capital de Venezuela. Es una montaña mágica, llena de senderos, bosques, laderas, cascadas, y caminerias.  Es el pulmón natural que bordea a nuestra capital. 

Desde arriba, apreciamos la vida de una manera diferente. Cuando subo la montaña veo que somos tan pequeñitos y con gigantescos problemas, es tragedia y comedia al mismo tiempo.  Somos tan pequeños, pero nuestros problemas son los más grandes que pueden haber… ¡santo cielo!, si por un momento viéramos que no somos más que la suma de nuestras partes, dejaríamos de lado tanta tragedia.

From above, we see that we have invaded so much of nature's space, changing the green of the plants and the oxygen they give us, in itself, a precious gift for us humans, changing those gifts for a "concrete jungle" and pollution. If down there we all live hurried, stressed, manipulated, sick and encapsulated in a meaningless life.

From above we see that what really counts is the moment that has already passed. That pure air that enters our lungs, filling us with energy and health. Sometimes I think of more ecological cities, greener, where plants and humans live in harmony, can you imagine having in the same city the natural oxygen factory!

Desde arriba, vemos que hemos invadido tanto el espacio de la naturaleza, cambiando el verde de las plantas y el oxígeno que nos regalan, de por sí, un regalo preciado para nosotros los humanos, cambiando esos regalos por una “selva de concreto” y polución. Si allá abajo vivimos todos apresurados, estresados, manipulados, enfermos y encapsulados en una vida sin sentido. 

Desde arriba vemos que lo que realmente vale es el momento que ya pasó. Ese aire puro que ingresa a nuestros pulmones, llenándonos de energía y salud. A veces pienso en ciudades más ecológicas, más verdes, donde plantas y humanos vivan en armonía, te imaginas tener en la misma ciudad la fábrica natural de oxigeno!

But while everything happens down there, I take time for me, time to hug a tree, walk in peace, feel my heart beating and appreciate the green that refreshes me.
