Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 75

avatar

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to the 75th round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)

I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.

The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.

The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)

Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.

I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:

Only one entry (photo) per person per round.

The photo must be yours and not older than one week.

Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.

You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.

Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.

I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)

To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:

The renowned Tyniec Monastery peeping out from lush greenery on cliffs above the Wisla River. We visited this iconic place near Krakow, Poland last Saturday. I am going to dedicate a separate post to the monastery tomorrow as it surely deserves it but in this particular shot, nature greatly prevails over the impressive ancient architecture of the monastery complex so I am using it as my contribution to the new round of my photo challenge ;)

In the last round, we had 4 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

Thanks again. Haven't been cycling since last week Tuesday, although I always want to, but my sleep keeps getting in the way. So, today's photo is from Tuesday, when I was out in the early morning. The sunrise over Rio, a small town to the north of Patras, Greece. Came a bit too late for the actual moment of the sun rising over the mountains, but still quite nice. The waves in the foreground are from an early swimmer.

Hi @phortun, Great pick and excellent entries !! Congrats all.😍 This is my entry. The pic was taken yesterday when I went out to kayak on the river near my place here in Da Nang, Vietnam. Luckily, we found a lake full of pink lotus flowers and then we sat down here for a couple of hours to relax and watch the sunset. What a chill place.

Happy start to the week everyone, this is my participation of the week. This image of a small lagoon was taken on Friday Jule 18 near the "La Mariposa" reservoir, located on the Las Mayas national highway, very close to the city of Caracas, Venezuela.

Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)

I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!

Happy start to the week everyone, this is my participation of the week. This picture was taken on Saturday 17 July. The picture shows the Chigirinskoye reservoir, which is located 80 kilometers from the city of Mogilev in the Republic of Belarus. It is a good place to relax and fish.

Jsou prázdniny a já mám čas i energii. Zase si půjdu 3.srpna lehnout do nemecnice, na dovyšetření, případně na předělávky a dodělávky. Třeba z toho bude invalidní důchod... Třeba se pak budu Hi opravdu živit...

Wow Tyniec Monastery looks amazing with spectacular scenery surrounding it. Superb snap @phortun
Thanks for the highlight and this is my submission on this round. The pic was taken at Man that beach in Da Nang on Monday while I went out for a walk and catch the sunset with my friend. This place is always been my favourite spot in the city where I can watch views of the city, skyline, beaches and boats.

You want something fresh
Here I leave you a few days without moving the car and this morning we had a resident, it is not a landscape photograph since in the city it is difficult when you go from work to home and from home to work.
But she is also part of nature, I appreciate her beauty and her great work even though I have a panic.
She traced the fabric of it between our car and the winged car, can you imagine if it took us a few more days?
Happy thursday friend

I took the photo this afernoon at Từ Lâm pagoda in Huế city (my hometown) when I visited the pagoda with my friend.
"Pomegranate tree in meditation".When I came there, I felt full of positive energy, I could put all stuffs aside to just enjoy the very nice late afternoon. Then I saw the Pomegranate tree, I felt like they were smiling with me with a calm and peaceful mind. In honest, my heart vibrated and was full of gratitude for Mother nature who always brings us much more magical things than we need. Just say "Thank you" for all.
And Thank you for Phortun to create a very meaningful competition like this.

Yesterday my husband and I got our nature fix at Columbia Bottoms Conservation Area. It is located in North St. Louis County at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. This was our first visit here as I had no idea that it was so close to our home!

The Conservation Department plants multiple areas with these beauties as a food source for the local birds, in particular mourning doves. However, it is becoming a popular photo op location. The flowers only last about ten days. Therefore they have staggered their seed planting to afford these breathtaking vistas through mid August.

It was bustling with many types of bees but I was able to safely get some pictures with my iPhone. It was hard to pick just one that captured the beauty we witnessed in person.

As promised, I am entering to this awesome initiative by @phortun this week after a long time.

I already announced in my previous posts that I will be heading to Velika Planina shortly and that happened past weekend. We had an amazing time and manage to capture few good photos as well. Scenery in person is even nicer, especially when you are taking a rest and having someting good for lunch.

I will share more photos from this trip in the upcoming days/weeks on my blog as well.

Have a great days folks!

Happy to see you here again my friend! That´s a beautiful picture, thank you. Btw the name "Velika Planina" exists in my language too, it means "large plain". Does it have the same meaning in Slovenian?

Happy to participate!

I don't know the direct translation, but I would say it means the same :)

And offtopic:
Congratulations for your first medal on Olympic games!
Our Benjamin was too quick, but second place is still great result!

Thanks for the mention again!
Sunday evening I went to the coast again. Not much of a sunset, not much to be found lying around, but there was something:
img_4512_3000_80_vsshko.jpg

A washed-up shell of a limpet among stones & dead sea grass. Don't know which species it is, perhaps a kind of patella, particularly caerulea fragilis. Found on the coast to the south of Patras, Greece. I like how it is just sitting on the seagrass, so I didn't move it before I took the picture.

This morning I was jogging up to the Byron Bay Lighthouse on my normal route along the cliff side pathways as I looked down I could see this guy doing some sand art work on the beach, I had heard about this guy who goes by the name of Craig the Sand Artist, but had never seen him or his sand art in action so, this morning, I was quite thrilled to see him at work making the beach look like a art gallery and the art work looked really amazing looked like alien astrology art form.
