Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 29

in Amazing Nature2 months ago

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to the 29th round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)

I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.

The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.

The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)

Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.

I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:

Only one entry (photo) per person per round.

The photo must be yours and not older than one week.

Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.

You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.

Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.

I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)

To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round.

First of all, let me apologize for hosting this round of the challenge on Friday and not on Thursday as I usually do but I needed to announce the winner of my latest special Bitcoin tipping challenge yesterday so I had to put off this round a bit. Sorry about that. Now the photo that I am sharing with you today is very fresh - I took it just a few hours ago in the beautiful natural surroundings of the famous Krakus Hill here in Krakow, Poland. I was really surprised to see that much greenery not so far from the center of such a large and busy city.

In the last round, we had 5 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

It's not exactly a fresh picture, but lately I haven't had time to take pictures :-) I took the photo on Saturday 22.8. on a trip to the Libín hill near Prachatice in South Bohemia. It is a view from the lookout tower towards Prachatice.

This morning i had to drive into the Gold Coast of Queensland which is about a 2 hour drive from my home town of Byron Bay it was strictly on business matters but , i did stop for a burger by the beach and took the opportunity to take in a bit of fresh air and vitamin D while enjoying the scenery munching on my hamburger.

Loď Lipsko právě opouští romantický úsek lemovaný skalami a míří k hradu Veveří.

Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)

I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!

Driving back from the south of Thailand on Sunday along the country roads you will see lots of these huge rocks protruding out the forest they are huge limestone rocks normally covered in lush green trees they look amazing seeing them all along these country roads.

Awesome scenery. I love it :) Thanks for joining this round too.

Thank you @phortun 👍

Hey Iliyan, what a nice surprise to see you joining this challenge :) Welcome! I love your entry. Can please just add where and when you took the photo? Thanks ;)

Done thanks

Díky za vyhodnocení :-). Když už jsme u těch rozhledů, přidám jeden čerstvý z dnešního dne. Je to pohled na Obří skály nad vesnicí Lipová v pohoří Jeseníky.
Thanks for the evaluation :-). Speaking of those views, I'll add one fresh from today. It is a view of the Giant Rocks above the village of Lipová in the Jeseníky Mountains.

No vida, tak ses těch Jeseníků konečně dočkal ;) Fotka super, díky za ni. Užívej půvabu a klidu kraje tvého dětství :)

Dočkal a užívám si :-)

Hi I was away from the contest for few weeks, and back again. Sorry for the late post. And here is my entry for Appreciate beaty of Nature

The white rose flower in our little garden, location - Harihar India was captured yesterday. The plant has unique rose flowers with white colors and growth rate of the plant is too high. The flowers wont last longer but the bunch of flowers rise in every branch. The rose is just making its ways to see the sky 🙂

Amazing close up, welcome back :)

Thanks sir, I entered in last min 😬😬,

This morning was just another perfect morning in Byron Bay the morning was a little bit cooler as we are still in winter but coming to a end soon as we head into summer and looking forward to that this photo i took this morning on my jog up to the lighthouse in Cape Byron looking at a beautiful sunrise with a calm ocean in the background always a joy of fresh air looking at these spectacular views from top of this mountain.

What a charming scenery to wake up to :) Beautiful shot.

Thanks @phortun and better mornings are coming with summer approaching 🙂

On 1st September it was my birthday, and like all the time I prefer to celebrate it somewhere in the mountains with my loved ones. So the picture was taken from my chalet on that special day and this view was taking my breath away every single time I was watching outside the window. 😍

Woow what a stunning view you had over there :) Awesome, thank you. And happy belated birthday of course!! :)

Thanks so much! 🤗

All photos are very beautiful and high quality. Nature looks great. Thank you for sharing such beauty.

Thanks for your positive feedback again my friend :) Feel free to join this round.

Those are very beautiful pictures. I was in Krakow once two years ago for the steemfest, but only stayed for a week. I wished we could stay longer there, but it was in Autumn and we didn't have long holiday. Krakow is a beautiful city.
Well, it's weekend now... Let's see if we have a stroll somewhere and can make nice picture of the nature. It should be a landscape picture, right?

Oh you were at the Krakow SteemFest too? I didn´t know... I know you and @jaki01 were in Bangkok last year but I didn´t know you were in Krakow too :) Then you might want to remember some nice memories with me in this post hehe :) Too bad we didn´t meet over there (or maybe we did but we didn´t even know about it :D)

As for this challenge, I accept nature in any form (including, for example, some nice insect close ups - we have already had such photos here too actually). The only requirement is that the photo is fresh (not older than one week). I am looking forward to your entry :) Have a great weekend. you were there too. I just read your article and found out that you only stayed for one night, so it rather made sense that you didn't notice us.
At which day did you arrive?
We arrived at the opening day and stayed at the Inx hotel but left exactly the next day after the event finished.
Krakow Steemfest was great..truly memorable, the best part for me was the trip to the salt mine, especially since the closing dinner was there as well.
It was a great time and we got to know much more friends at that time. Especially because it is easier in commuting between places so that we were able to take part nearly in fast all interesting sections.
We even joined the trip to the bowling arena, cos our little owl waa still fresh 😂.
She was only 1,5 years old at that time but she had a good time there.

I am not sure but I think I arrived on the opening day too :) I am really glad to hear you had a wonderful time in Krakow. I believe most participants had. Oh and you even made it to the Wieliczka salt mine, nice... We haven´t been there yet but the photos look truly amazing. Hopefully next time :)
