Some snowy mountains.

Three mountain shots and three sunset shots with birds of course.

Oh yes, it is icy cold here today and I wear my faux fur hat that is marked as genuine fur. Made in South Africa and imported from China, as my Russian friend used to say. Nevertheless it is warm and that's all that counts. The weather is very strange here and even the locals cannot understand it, but we will just have to get used to it.

A more intense look at the mountains here below.

At times there are breaks in the cold dark clouds and that's when I nip outside with my camera.

Now for a few sunset clouds!

A murder of crows came along and I timed the shots to get a sunset cloud background.

They are a family of Pied Crows (Corvus capensis), nice and big to lend character to the shots.

Finally the day started to close and the doves gathered with their partners to go home.
You can see how strong the wind is here, as it kept the dove up from landing.

What I like about the shorter posts is that one can keep the quality content and still make an impact. I used to post up to 14 photos at times, but started realizing that most people are in such a rush that they only glance briefly at ones posts. Some doesn't ever bother to open a post, but simply vote if the first picture grabs them.
Readers have also become very few and I spend at least an hour or two to craft each of my posts.
So the best is to try and capture attention with quility photos and short descriptions. So be it.

And That's All Friends!

We hope that you liked the pictures and the descriptions.

Perfect timing, Zac, the crows look great in front of the cloud 👍

The photos look cold, but to me it seems that there's less snow on the mountains. Maybe it rained up there?

Thank you Hannes, self discipline and patience helps a lot as the urge is always to just click away, but then most of the shots come out blurred, especially when one is on a low light setting.

Yes, slowy, slowly the snow will become less and less every day, until the rain next Tuesday washes the last bits away. Then follows the windy month of August and then the first day of September starts our Spring and your fall.

Thank you again and glad that you liked the shots.

My pleasure, Zac, you're most welcome 😄

I have photographed two deer today and a fox. Some photos of the deer might be reasonable sharp, but I have deleted the photos of the fox right in camera. It was too dark already to shoot moving animals 😉

!BEER and !PIZZA - nice 😃

A pity about the fox Hannes, but great that you at least got something.
Yes I also have a battle with light here, as either too dark early morning and the sun when it's out is too sharp. So it puts the photos into a haze, like that flying malachite today.
One can fix that with photoshop I think, but as you know I don't have it.

Here's an Elephant that I got yesterday 🤣

Now if you show this photo to your cats, they will first faint with delight and when the wake up, they will beg you to book them a flight ticket to come here 🤣🤣🤣 +finger

Cheers and thanks.

Yes, when the sun is too high the shadows are hard and the light too harsh - I usually don't shoot during the daytime - mostly in the mornings or before sunset.

Nice mouse - years ago I have also shot a mouse - she fell into the pool of my father in law and we helped her out, but first she had to pose for some photos ;)
Most photos have been macros these days
