Fear rules at times in our lives.

Today I want to talk about the emotional storms in our lives.

Mother nature teaches that fear can lock the mind.

So, we made a huge error and we get hundreds of downvotes, or some other serious mishap at work, or in our relationships and for many other reasons and we know that a big storm is coming.
Impending doom and fear scrambles our thoughts so much that we feel totally helpless and there is no way out.
What to do, where to go, how, how, how only brings more indecisions.

Flee, flee, flee is a normal action as our emotions run riot with our thoughts.
098.jpg

Oh yes, it's a big and heavy storm that comes to rest in one's mind.
085.jpg

Some of us sit in a muddy morass driven by the winds in our emotions.
Even suicide is a consideration.
094.jpg

Maybe we switched on our PC and our account was GONE? or our partner that we love so much suddenly left us?
Darkness envelops our souls.
127.jpg

Emotional turmoil feasts in our feelings and it is as if our world has come to a sudden end.
093.jpg

But wait, at our most vulnerable moment, something unexplainable happens.

While we were sleeping, the storm in our mind has flown away.
30171181_1243746645760783_6063676647531818354_o_1_.jpg

Early moring as we rise, a new sun has dawned in our thoughts.
img_20210822_wa0004.jpg

It's all gone, the storm is gone and we are happily singing again.
180.jpg

It is almost as if nothing has happened and at times we can feel foolish when our motions led us down the garden path.
The downvotes were restored due to an error, your account is suddenly available again, your partner popped out to buy you a gift and on and on we go.
Yes, like a little butterfly we are vulnerable to the storms and one can never know what the morrow will bring to test us. Confrontation is the only medicine for these perceived fears and Mother nature teaches us that the sun will always shine again.
We need to listen to Mother nature, as she teaches us how to endure and our main weapon is hope.

They say that miracles don't happen anymore, I totally disagree, as we see many in our work with the poor.

And That's All Friends!

Life definitely throws many into a quandary, questioning how to carry on!

Photographs tell the story depicting the turmoil, sun always shines again as the little birds tell you every morning, today will be a better day.

Thank you Lady Joan and agreed, as giving up should never be an option.

Yes, I tried to make the photos talk to us in an effort to uplift troubled souls.
Storms never last and life goes on.

People are taking strain, uplifting news or content does ease the days from life, perhaps casting light into another way of dealing with problems.

Keep smiling!

Oh yes, that's exactly what I was hoping for, that it might show somone else how to cope.

Seems that I am in the smiling business with most of my posts, but I will never make the grade as a comedian :)

Thank you @papilloncharity for those wise words, yes sometimes we allow fear to take over our minds and can't see the light that is shinning through those stormy clouds. One needs to put our hope on that light, I am a great believer in miracle, they do happen. Thanks for sharing.

Once we lear the power of hope and prayer it can cerainly turn things upside down to our benefit my friend. The secret is to continue to focus on that light in the realization that we all make mistakes.
Glad that you share my belief in miracles.

You're talking wise words, my friend, and I agree with every single of them 👍
Mother Nature shows us and Mother Nature teaches us. All we have to do is to look, listen and to learn, and we should never give up to hope 😀

Good afternoon Hannes,

Thank you for the agreement and you have touched on a real nerve here, as you are correct that so many not look, listen and learn.
In fact there is a scriture that states this fact.

Cheers and thanks.

Good afternoon Zac,
yes, my friend, and mankind has never listened nor learned. Well, some do, but sadly they are a minority with no power.
I hope you're having a nice Saturday evening Zac 🌞

Hi Hannes,

Such a pity isn't it? The minority against the majority and such an unequal fight, as the money bags keep controlling matters. For them the target is to make profits and for us the target is to save nature.

They simply cannot understand the trouble that everybody is in because of all the damages caused by noxious gasses and the eradication of wetlands to build new developments. There are much else to mention about the nefarious deeds that harm this planet, but not enough space here.

We had a nice and quiet Saturday evening and I hope that yours wasn't bad at work. my friend.

Cheers and thanks.

Hi Zac,

money rules the world and the more they have the more they want and they do not care because with money they can buy fresh air and safe homes.
I am different, I would have enough with a few millions and wouldn't try to get more 🤣

I have also had a quite nice and relaxing Saturday including a sunrise shooting at a reservoir nearby and I am working today ;)
Hope your Sunday is also nice and quiet, my friend 🌞

Oh yeah, you are right and somebody said that this is a profit driven world.
I still can't understand what a guy with billions in his pocket will do with all of that money in his lifetime.

We worked out that my money will run out when I turn 80 and that's not far off, I don't even know if I can make it that far and my children are all secure and well off, so they don't want anything from me.
All of the grandkids have policies that will pay out when they turn 21 and that will give them a great boost in life.

Luckily Marian is covered and she has a secure job, plus she inherits our house and also half of her parents house. She is still young at 43 and she will cope.
She will also continue with Papillon.

By the time that you retire, I hope that the twins will also be self sufficient and you can live a rich life with your millions. But in saying that, the grandkids could also cost you a few million 🤣

Our Sunday was rained in, but we had short sun breaks and I took photos through the study window.
And got wet when I took a chance to go outside as a rain cloud came over especially to bath me 🤣

That was a cool and positive comment and I enjoyed reading it until you wrote that I might have to spend all my millions for some kids I didn't even have fun of making 🤣

But I am glad that you have thought of everything, for Marian and for your kids and grandkids.

As said in the other comment, our weather is dry and sunny, but from a photographer's point of view the weather isn't that great because there are almost no clouds 😉

Hahaha, only pulling your leeg Hannes, as we don't kwow what the future holds for us.
All that I do know, is that if you have grandchildren, you will love them like your own and you won't care how much you spend on them.

I only knew my gran of my grandparents (she died when I was 13), and all of the others had died before I was born, but here's the glad news, my eldest grandchildren are now Reece 18 in January and his sister Tatum will be 16 in December. And they know me personally.
So let's hope that the same will happen to you.

You will do the same and even better for yours when the time comes I am sure.

I took photos today in a cloudless sky and you are right, as it is difficult, especially in the bright sunlight.
Look at this malachite that was taken at a distance in a cloudless sky.

I so wanted to get him singing and I waited for it, but yes, the sun was spiteful and hid his colors. 🤣

Cheers and thanks.

You are very right, my kids or my kids kids, they are family and I will love them like my own, and I will take care of them like I care for my own kids 😊

Yep, it's a beautiful bird and don't need no blue sky to shine 😁 Shooting against the sun is often a problem, but can produce very nice photos.

Well I pray that you will live long enough to buy your kids daughters slippers for their weddings.

Ha, me and the sun argue a lot of times as it puts green spots on my photos.
Then he gets angry and I get totally blank photos 🤣

But now I have a plan thanks to your other reply.

Cheers and thanks.

I have said something about these green sun flares in the other reply a couple of minutes ago.

I'm courious and looking forward to see the outcome of your plan.

A little over a month ago, I lost the keys to the @yuriy4 account, I am sure that there will be no miracle and I will never work with this account. It was really intense stress and depression. When I read your post, it became much easier for me. Thank you so much for your optimism and faith in the best. I wish you creative success. 🙏

I am so sorry to hear about your dilemma my friend and I suppose that you searched all over for the keys?
And you have tried all options to recover the account?

Then if you have, acceptance is the only way forward and I will indeed pray that the keys will suddenly pop up out of nowhere.

In the meantime I am glad that my post could offer you some solace and I also wish only the very best for you.

@papilloncharity Very interesting post!!! I always believe miracles happen. Mother nature always teaches us. But we must see and hear about that lessons carefully.

Thank you and that is the reason why I did the post my friend.
Many look and they do not see, as fear has veiled their eyes, their ears are clogged by worries and they don't hear, as they only listen to their sorrows.

I was the same at one sorrowful stage in my live until I learned the true value of storms in our lives. They teach us to look at the Light in hope.

Great piece my friend. After reading this post I immediately thought of one of my favorite lines from Desiderata.

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Thank you Sir, now that you remind me, I have the full Desiderata block mounted sitting in the store room. Never took it out since we moved in here two years ago.
Time to go lift it and to put it in a place of honor.

You are spot on with this comment as the Light is the only way in in life.

Desiderata has always been a very special piece for both robin and me.
The very first time we heard it, her uncle read it at our wedding.
Every line rings of so much truth.

I used it when I was teaching and I can still repeat every line from memory.
When my students learned it, I would make them a plaque with the Desiderate on it along with a picture of their choosing.
IMG_2817.JPG

Here's one that I made for a student of mine, but I never had a chance to give it to her.
She came from a messed-up home and was living with her father.
Something came down, which I never heard exactly what it was, and in a matter of a few days, she was gone, moved to New Mexico to live with her older brother.
