A wet Squirrel morning.

We were awakened to a wet morning as it rained overnight.

I have not done a squirrel post in a while, but the little wet critters were too wet this morning not to show you their cuteness.

It started like this as he asked me if I had seen his peanut.
001.jpg

So he pointed at his chest and said, "look boss, I am not asking for myself as Lily my little sister is also searching for her peanut"
015.jpg

I am sure that he called his little sister to make my heart soft.
020.jpg

Oh yes, his performance deserved an Oscar, or at least some peanuts.
023.jpg

By now some of you will recognise them as the "terrible twins" and yes, they give me many grey hairs.
030.jpg

Then the cuzzy from the palm tree also joined the party. Can you see the third one?
035.jpg

No problem as here she is on the oak stump ring.
036.jpg

Look at this precise military line-up each allowing the exact space between each other. I don't think that they like to hear each other chewing :)

Some fun here and this happens here every day come rain or shine. We got so used to it that Marian fills my little blue tub with peanuts every night and she leaves it here on my desk in the study.
So the squirrels come here to the window every morning and every afternoon to fetch their peanuts.
Of course there are also many others that have made our garden their home such as Mr. and Mrs. Robin.

Robbie the Robin sat as a guard while his missus refreshed herself.

@papilloncharity I'm still curious about the squirrels, are they pet squirrels or wild squirrels that you often feed until they come? the squirrel and the bird look so beautiful and your great guess never darts and very amazing 😍

in my area tumpai only play in the tall coconut trees 😁

They aren't shy are they 😂
The ones we have here don't come that close.

Very nice photos!

Nope, no shyness here and I think that it was this way for centuries, as they seem to be used to people and the new youngsters will simply follow the parents habits.

There is only one purpose in life for a squirrel and that is to be adorable!

Hahaha, adorable and naughty also. They bury nuts in the pot plants and then they tip the pots over to search for the nuts.
Oh and they plant nuts in the neighbors gardens and then they have peanut plants growing between their prized flower hahaha.

Here on the farm, the squirrels are all over the place. They love to drop the pinecones from the big evergreen trees. This time of year you can hear the thud of the pinecones dropping all day long.
Winter is coming and the squirrels are filling their cupboards.

Hahaha, stacking and staking their stores for winter methinks.
Ours do the same as for every peanut that the eat, they bury one. Problem is that they steal eash other's buried nuts and we have much fun here when a squirrel discivers that his loot has disappeared.

I would wear a helmet under your trees 🤣

You need a helmet under our trees. The pinecones are huge here.
