A lovely baby Starfish.

149.JPG

First the location of where we found the little starfish. In the rocks at the beach of course.

We decided to take a 2 kilometer walk on the beach today and as usual we went to a secluded part, where there were only a few people. All of them staying far apart from others which suited us fine, as one cannot take any chances with this Covid thing that is now again rampart here in it's 3rd wave.

Now just look at this little beauty that we found.
121.JPG

Marian spotted him, as it was low tide and we were looking for the big starfish in the rocks that are normally underwater.
122.JPG

The amazing thing is that the sun can bake the starfish stone dry at low tide, when the rocks are exposed.
But when the tide comes in again it resurrects the starfish and they become alive again.
123.JPG

So, we found him a nice calm little pool with some water in it to wait for the high tide.
125.JPG

And to end, I have a trick shot here. There is a plane, two kayak paddlers and a yacht in this photo. See if you can find them?
137.JPG

Two things that blow my top like an over pressurized steam cooker at the ocean. Litter including plastics and people that kill the animals. Surely a man that drives the latest Landrover is not poor, so why then does he trap an octopus and start to cut it apart still alive?

Why do people party on the beach and then leave all of their empty bottles and plastic packets behind? Why do people clean the rubbish in their cars by strewing the rubbish in the parking lots? Don't they know that the rain will wash it down into the storm water drains and that it will end up in the ocean?

We are killing the animals in the oceans my friends.
Here's the evidence.

101.JPG

I bet that he was still alive a few days ago and I wonder how much plastic they are going to find in his stomach?

I am sorry to end the post on this note, but it is so important that we start to teach others the dangers of littering. Or at least that we make a big noise about it.

And That's All Friends.

That starfish is cute and I have seen plane, two kayak paddlers and a yacht in the photo, as well as that mountain behind the fog - is it fog?

We have been talking before about the people who pretend to love nature and go outdoors to enjoy the beauty that Mother Nature offers us. They party and have fun and that's okay for me, as long as they do it on places where it's allowed and don't disturb the animals, but when they leave they suddenly forget. Don't they want to see it as clean as it was before they came when they come there next time?
Do they think there's a cleaning woman who collects their garbage?
I try to not leave a trace and usually you won't notice that I have been somewhere after I left, and if everybody did it that way we wouldn't need laws which forbid wild camping.
People don't care and I think they care even less since last year, although the number of nature lovers has increased dramatically since the beginning of the pandemic.
And as you said, the trash will kill the animals and that makes it even worse.

Yep, that is fog rising from the sea Hannes.
Even today we had a very bleak day where the mountains could hardly be seen.

Oh yes, I totally agree with you and humans are the strangest wrecking animals on this planet. Selfish, greedy and I can think of a hundred more despicable names.
Now you can see why this planet is being poisoned and I don't blame nature for being angry.
People have to be taught only to leave their footprints in nature and nothing else.
Soon, our evil deeds and non care attitudes will be rudely changed by mother nature.

This was our bleak mountains today.

Yep, my friend, such days happen and sometimes these images can also look cool such as minimalist mountain shots.

As long as the footprints are where they don't matter, but people trample everywhere - beautiful flower fields get destroyed because they want to take selfies in the middle of the field. They don't care about the flowers.

Mother Nature isn't angry enough yet, but I think she's too good-natured and she believes in the humans more than I do.

Yes I agree and I also take the minimalist shots of the mountains as at times they have their own beauty.
No respect for the self, so how can they then have respect for the flowers that they tramp on Hannes?
The only dream that they have is to show others how beautiful they are, or how important they are.

Mother nature is not stupid my friend, she is already shaking the Icebergs loose in the Atlantic and I think some big things are waiting for us.

Cheers and thanks.

I believe you are right, Zac, but the only downside is that there are many innocent people too, but how would you say? Such is life🙂

Oy Vay, they say that the innocent will always suffer my friend.
The government should make it a law for everyone to have a refuse bag in their cars.
If anyone throws litter out of the windows the driver's licence will be suspended for 3 months.
Look at this. Beautiful isn't it?

Now look at this!

I am going to do a post soon about my hatred of littering.

Cheers and thanks.

Yep, so many throw their garbage out of the window, here too. At least there should be a huge fine. I parked on a really nice spot. There was a garbage bin, but some kids have left a lot wrapping papers from sweets and tin cans all around. The garbage bin was only half full!

Now that's another thing that sets me off, people littering right next to a garbage can.
We have dog stations here in the parks that has rolls of plastic bags that people walking their dogs can use to pick their dogs poop up. But they don't use it and one has to be careful else one will step into a poop landmine.

A sad state of affairs all over my friend.

Cheers and thanks.

Yep, the dog poop is another problem we have in the parks. People just don't care anymore.

Nothing so bad as to step into one unnoticed and then mess up the car on the way back 🤣

Or suddenly having every hound stop to smell your shoe. Sometimes when I get that smell and I know then that I stepped into a landmine, I walk awkwardly like a guy on a tightrope to a spot where I can take my shoe off. Some people with dogs walk past and if they see me walking like that with my one foot on tip toe, they think that I am disabled 🤣

I am sure that you must also have stepped into such a blessing in your time 😜

Cheers and thanks.

What I dislike about it is Mother nature's tricks Hannes.

So, you sit down to talk to somebody and all of a sudden there's that awful smell.
Confusion reigns, as you think that the person that you are talking to did not wipe properly after being to the loo. So you act as if nothing happened and you both keep the chat as short as possible 🤣

Then you leave in a hurry and when you get into the car and suddenly you see that the smell has followed you, because your foot is slippery on the pedal. You look under your shoe at the source of the slip and you have a heart attack 🤣🤣🤣

After cleaning up, you drive home worrying what the other person thought about you 🤣
Marian calls that a true a mindshift moment 😀😁😂🤣

Cheers and thanks.

Haha, your wife said the right thing 🤣

Haha, I know similar, but it actually have been some gas that didn't want to stay inside my colleague, but what can you say in such a situation? Nothing but try to get away as quick as possible, just like you have done 😂

I don't know what happened to my reply Hannes?
Typed it clicked "Reply" and blank, no reply.

What I was saying was that you also had a mindshift moment 🤣
Hope this one stays.

Cheers and thanks.

Yes, I also think that she was right 😜

Hahaha, so your colleague farted? Really farted? And I suppose he apologised with a red face?
But yes, you are right, whether he apologised or not it was a mindshift moment 🤣🤣🤣

Cheers and thanks.
