Roots in our lives /EN-RU/ - my entry to Amazing Nature Contest: Thematic Challenge -#2/1/21

Roots are something that keep the tree on the ground and prevent it from falling, no matter what storms rage around. The roots are what give it food and strength to grow and develop. Through the connection with the land, the roots make it part of the community - forests, groves, city streets... The trouble comes when this connection weakens. Then even a light breeze is enough for a seemingly powerful giant to collapse and die.

So we are. Our roots are our families with their past and present. But not only that. For us, our language, our country with its history are also our roots. The same with the nature, which we must study and protect.

These photos were taken by me on the school trip along the Baltic Sea shore.

This giant fallen tree amazed our boys and gave us a reason to talk about importance of roots not only for plants, but for all of us, too.

Корни - это то, что держит дерево на земле и не дает упасть, какие бы бури не бушевали вокруг. Корни - это то, что дает ему пищу и силы, чтобы расти и развиваться. Через связь с землей корни делают его частью сообщества - леса, рощи, городской улицы. Беда наступает, когда эта связь слабеет. Тогда достаточно слабого ветерка, чтобы, казалось бы, мощный гигант рухнул и погиб.

Так и мы с вами. Наши корни - это наши семьи, их история и настоящее. Но не только это. Корни для нас - это и наш язык, наша страна, её история. Это и её природа, которую мы должны изучать и беречь.

Эти фото были сделаны мной во время экскурсии моего класса по побережью Балтийского моря.

Это упавшее гигантское дерево поразило наших мальчишек и дало повод поговорить о том, как важны корни не только для растений, но и для всех нас.
