The Roman baths - with and without water

avatar

After 3 years I went again to the Roman Baths, a gorge of a stream surrounded by huge rocks and famous for its abundant water. At the beginning of the trip, I was already suspicious that something was really wrong! Where did that huge amount of crystal clear and ice cold water go? Instead, only lukewarm puddles and mud remained in the riverbed. When I saw the dry gorge, I struggled with my tears. Despite all this, more and more tourists come there, the parking lot is always full. Those who know the place better say it was still full of water just two weeks ago. However, the source that fed the stream has completely subsided, certainly as a result of human activity. Unfortunately, in many places they are built recklessly, ignoring, among other things, the waters of the soil.
Will the water come back or will it stay that way forever?

3 July, 2021: most of the stones are dry, water does not flow. Another week without rain and everything will be completely dry!
