Don't be afraid of them, they won't hurt you!

Violet carpenter bee

It is one of the largest bee species in Europe.
Its size and deeply buzzing voice make it frightening, but not aggressive at all.
The female collects not only for herself but also for her offspring. The Violet carpenter bee lives alone, not a state-forming insect such as honeybees. They play an important role in pollinating flowers.
The female chews cavities in the dead tree and lays its eggs there. Then collects pollen for the prospective offspring.
The picture shows an unfortunately damaged insect. It was in the middle of the road, but I carefully put it to a safe place.

Hoverflies

They are my favorites! It’s amazing how they fly in one place, but they also follow me many times. Sometimes they rest on my hand or my camera.
There are so many species, from the tiny to the giants. They are very similar in appearance to bees, but they are not bees but two-winged (bees are four-winged) like house flies. They also play a major role in pollinating plants.

Is the yellow bee non-venomous? I often see in flower petals. I think stinging bees.

Violet colour carpenter bee was really beautiful. I love this colour and this bee is looking different and attractive compared with other types of bee. Rest of the photography of bee was also good and thanks for sharing
