Not weeds and arguments.

Lysimachia nummularia yellow flowers 2.jpg

I like to think that I know my mums garden very well. I know what grows where when it blooms what care it needs.
I know what plants she likes and there is many that I have bought for her - she just has to decide where to plant them.

But I still get surprised sometimes.

Lysimachia nummularia

I was shooting this gorgeous Hydrangea that grows in the shadows of other tall trees. Nice, cozy spot full of bushes and smaller plants to fill up the gaps. And the I looked down to make sure I don't step on anything important and I saw those little yellow flowers.

Ohh yea... I found a pretty weed, I thought! I tend to let the weeds grow as they want if I like the flowers, but mum pulls them out cause... they are weeds.
So I asked if she knows about this one and if possible spare its life. And she said "It is not a weed, silly!"
Well how would I know... some of them look like that :D

Apparently she planted that one on purpose and got it from someone that knows someone :)

It is also called Moneywort or Creeping jenny and it is adorable small plant. The stems will crawl on top of the soil and growing rots along the way. It is easy to grow and propagate though cuttings and will look great as groundcover with it's dark green round leaves that will create thick green carpet and bright yellow flowers in spring.

It is also evergreen and frost hardy, so there is some green in the garden in winter. Fun little thing :)

That's how you get the good stuff you know 😂 from someone who knows someone who got it from someone from some very special place.

At first you thought you found a weed, but it turned out to be a wonderful plant. It is interesting that this plant is frost-resistant, which means it can delight with its beauty even on cold days. Nice pictures!

Creepy Jenny you say? I'm sure she's a real nice lady once you get to know her. She even fooled you too and I'm sure you'll be fast friends now. You'll have long conversations over a glass of wine about this years from now when reminiscing about you how you both met. A lifelong friend was made this day.

Have a great day haha

I like your comedy selection. You can never go wrong with Monty Python.

As for music, here's Creep by Radiohead and it's the favorite of Jenny. Radiohead could have been another grunge band when this was released but luckily they continually evolved into something new all the time.
