Duck on Deck - Photography

Today on my power walk aka get the hell out of work and retain my sanity walk, I brought my camera with me hoping I’d find something worth snapping.

As luck would have it, I was shown a duck that would become my model for the moment. These ducks are quite common in Japan. If there were a food shortage it would take some time for the people to starve, that is how common they are. ( Well not that common but they are around). But still there is something very gently and calming seeing these creatures. I never get tired of seeing them.

The surrounding was nice too. My kinda a spot, just call it my spot because I’m here most days but don’t always bring my camera. Perfect place to hold a meditation and shake off some bad vibes.

One thing with the ducks in this park is that they are used to humans, so they don’t flee as soon as they see you and at times, expect food. Well I had now to give this dude.

The closer I got, the more it became aware but still the duck 🦆 was chilling grooming itself overlooking the pond that sustains it.

At this moment the duck was fully aware of my presence and looking to see what I was up to. I didn’t bother to get too close as I know how annoying that can be. Your in your zone in a nice spot then someone or thing just comes around and kills your vibe!

So I let Daffy be and took some pics of the landscape I’m so used to but never get tired of seeing. It’s not the beach but it gives me that spiritual connection with nature.

I especially like the reflections on the water. Jah works are magnificent right?
