The truth is that I never imagined getting involved in raising farm animals. I did consider the field as a productive activity, but not through animals.
The initiative came from my mother, she wanted to consolidate a business with animals that were not for meat and stabled, since we lived on a farm and we had enough space for planting feed and a corral.
So the focus was on raising goats for dairy production. Only then my mom took it up and we bought some sheep for meat.

Looking at it from the outside and without knowledge it all seemed very simple.... But raising animals is a job that doesn't allow you to leave a single day of the calendar free. Although it does not require working all day, it does require working EVERY day, and with no guarantee that they will produce every day. They are living beings that depend on you.
It turns out that after buying a mixed herd on sale, we begin to learn the pros and cons of each creature, how critical it is how you feed them, how you water them, how you maintain their space. Many people think goats eat everything and they don't. They are very pretentious. They are very pretentious... They are also almost like pets, since they have a different character each one, they fight among them, others become friends, the breeding of the flock also has its tricks to make it manageable and productive. Why can it also happen that you give your goat what you think it needs but it doesn't produce as expected, and you say: ok, what's going on?

When you work with these peculiar animals you hope you will not have to see any of them die, but then it happens. When one of them gets sick and dies, when they lose their offspring because of poor care, because they fought or because you couldn't attend the birth properly. It is not something you feel ready for as when you know you raised the animal with that destiny.
They need a lot more attention than we realized.
For a while it was productive, but the lack of organization led us to soon not being able to supply food for the animals from the same land, we did not have the resources to fence where they would be planted and the goats are very athletic animals that although we made a handmade fence, to which we dedicated a lot of work and effort, for them it was an amusement park, a call to "PASA POR AQUI"....
In addition, certain circumstances made us decide to move and we were not going to be able to continue with this enterprise.
