Hello lovely Hiveans and Nature Lovers !

Now that you are all locked up in your accommodations for the next few weeks it is so hard to stay in touch with the beauties of nature out there. So I decided to launch this Nature Motivation Show for you ^^ It will contain 10 episodes and will be published over two weeks. Each day I will present to you one of those episodes, with collected footage from the Botanical Gardens Bochum and the Hohenstein National Park in Witten, so that you can stay sane and still feel like a creation of our Mother Earth, and not like another piece of furniture of your accommodation ;) .. I will cover trees,bushes, carnivorous plants and beautiful flowers, wild forest animals and petting zoo animals, fungi and much more for you 😜 .. Today's episode is about Petting Zoo Animals.


German: Jetzt, da wir alle für die nächsten Wochen eingesperrt sind, ist es schwer, in Kontakt mit den Schönheiten der Natur da draußen zu bleiben. Also habe ich beschlossen diese Nature Motivation Show für euch zu starten ^^ Es wird über 2 Wochen insgesamt 10 Episoden geben. Jeden Tag werde ich eine vorstellen, mit Aufnahmen aus dem Botanischen Garten Bochum und dem Nationalpark Hohenstein in Witten, damit ihr euch weiterhin wie eine Schöpfung unserer Mutter Erde fühlen könnt, und nicht wie ein weiteres Möbelstück eurer Wohnung ;) .. Ich werde Bäume, Sträucher, fleischfressende Pflanzen und schöne Blumen, Waldtiere und Streichelzootiere, Pilze und vieles mehr für euch abdecken .. In der heutigen Folge geht es um Streichelzoo Tiere

Peacock

While the word peafowl is the neutral term, peacock is the term for the male and peahen refers to the female one. Peafowls originate from India. The male peacock posses a very beautiful bright and shiny blue body including its head. Its fan-shaped greenish golden feathers are approximately 1.5 m long and are for the purpose of courtship. In addition the feathers feature eye-shaped patterns for intimidation of its enemies. Also they live mainly on the ground they are still capable to flight and their screams and rattling feathers are incredibly loud. While the feathers of the peacock are closed their tail is only 50 cm long, but still very beautiful to watch ;)


German: Pfauen werden in ihrer männlichen Form Pfauenhähne genannt, während hingegen die weibchen Pfauenhennen heißen. Pfauen stammen aus dem heutigen Indien ab. Der männliche Pfauenhahn besitz einen wunderschönen hell leuchtenden blauen Körper und Kopf. Seine ausgebreitetes Federkleid ist grünlich und golden, kann bis zu 1.5 m lang sein und dient dem Zwecke der Partnersuche. Zudem zeigt das Federkleid augenförmige Muster um Feinde abzuschrecken. Obwohl Pfauen auf dem Boden unterwegs sind, sind sie dennoch dazu in der Lage zu fliegen und ihre Schreie und die rasselnden Federn können unglaublich laut sein. Während das Federkleid des Pfauenhahns geschlossen ist, ist sein Schwanz lediglich 50 cm lang, aber immer noch sehr schön anzuschauen ;)

Domestic Goat

The domestic goat is a subspecies of the wild goat of Southwest Asia and Eastern Europe. All over the world there are over 300 distinct goat species and more that one billion goats are living here on earth with us. This animal is really common all over the globe. From all animals, the goat is the oldest domesticated species of animal as they were offering many benefices to us humans, such as milk and therefore also cheese, meat, and fur. Female goats are called does or nannies, males are called bucks or billies and juvenile goats of both sexes are called kids. Goats are reputed to be willing to eat almost anything and depending on the species they get as heavy as 140 kg and as high as 60 cm. They also can have beautiful beards, which are not only common among the male ones, both within both sexes.


German: Die Hausziege ist eine Unterart der Wildziege aus Südwestasien und Osteuropa. Auf der Welt gibt es über 300 verschiedene Ziegenarten und mehr als eine Milliarde Ziegen leben hier auf der Erde unter uns. Dieses Tier ist wirklich überall verbreitet. Von allen Tieren ist die Ziege die älteste domestizierte Tierart, da sie uns Menschen viel zu bieten hat, wie zum Beispiel Milch und damit auch Käse, Fleisch und Pelz. Weibliche Ziegen werden Geiß genannt, Männchen werden Böcke genannt und junge Ziegen beider Geschlechter werden Geißlein genannt. Ziegen sind bekannt dafür fast alles zu essen und sie werden je nach Art bis zu 140 kg schwer und bis zu 60 cm hoch. Sie können auch schöne Bärte haben, die nicht nur unter den männlichen häufig sind, sondern innerhalb beider Geschlechter.

Domestic Pig

Already since 10000 years at least this domestic form of the former wild boar is held as a pet by humans. The main reason is that the pig is an excellent source for meat. A baby pig like this cute little fellow up to 25 Kg is called a piglet. After that the mature ones are called boar in the case of a male, and sow in the case of a female one. They can easily get a weight of 300 Kg or more and get as old as 20 years. Unfortunately nowadays domestic pigs are already slaughtered at a weight of 100 Kg and never get that old :(


German: Zumindest diese heimische Form des ehemaligen Wildschweins wird bereits seit 10000 Jahren von Menschen als Haustier gehalten. Der Hauptgrund ist, dass das Schwein ein ausgezeichneter Quelle für Fleisch ist. Ein Babyschwein wie dieser süße kleine Kerl hier bis zu einem Gewicht von25 Kg wird Ferkel genannt. Danach heißen die älteren Tiere Eber im Falle eines Männchens und Sau im Falle eines Weibchens. Sie können leicht ein Gewicht von 300 kg erreichen und werden bis zu 20 Jahre alt. Leider werden heutzutage Hausschweine bereits mit einem Gewicht von 100 kg geschlachtet und werden dieses Alter nie erreichen :(
