Visit to Greyhound Saigon - A twist of Fusion Thai

If you're familiar with this name, you would notice that this belongs to a chain of Fusion Thai cuisine from Thailand. They are strong in Thailand but still at an infancy stage when it comes to opening up outlets outside Thailand. The last time I dined at Greyhound was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and just slightly over a month, they opened their first outlet in HCMC, Vietnam.

Casual catch up with work friends

Since people in Vietnam are always on a crazed for something new, this outlet was seemed to be packed with diners; weekdays or weekends. Located nearby to Saigon Center, it captures the high income earnings clientele. Though I've seen it several times when I pass by this area, it has never crossed my mind to dine here, knowing that the price is above the average until I got an invite by a fellow colleague to have lunch here.

It has an outdoor waiting area with comfortable sofas overseeing the Main Street. Going inside the restaurant, there is a long bar counter with a dessert display counter. At one glance, it is very impressive and welcoming. Opposite the bar area are table seating of 2-4 persons ( this has the view of the outdoors ). We were greeted by the hostess who brought us to the back of the restaurant since that area is more spacious and allow larger groups. Thankfully, we were early so we had a good table; combination of sofa seating and individual chairs.

The interior of the restaurant is nice; totally up to the expectation of any Greyhound Restaurant in Thailand. Even the table set up is appealing and everything is an encouragement for photography. Definitely their way of marketing since social media is the best & fastest way to promote any restaurant. Apart from the interior of the restaurant, I managed to take a few photos of the menus as well. Since pork is an allowed meat in Vietnam, the range of dishes on the menu is incredible.

Leaving it in the good hands of my fellow colleagues to order, I took my time to take more photos, from the interior of the restaurant to the menu to the table set up. Even their drinks were served in the most tempting manner. I had a mixture of Passion Fruit and other fruits as my drink, while others ordered Iced Lemon Tea and Black Coffee. For our appetiser and main dishes, we ordered their Signature Pork Knuckle, Complicated Noodle, Crab Meat Fried Rice, Signature Chicken Wings and Fresh Salmon. My rating :

I would definitely come back here again; especially when hubby is in town. A nice place to enjoy a meal and be comfortable at the same time.
