Investment & Inflation in Rising Star - A test...

I have played Rising Star in about 8 weeks now. As I understand this game get more and more players. More players also get the Millionaire Card that gives them right to do a mission that gives them 10 000 Starbits everyday.

More players - The total amount of Starbits distributed every day will increase
More Millionaire - The total amount of Starbits distibuted every day will increase

So what to do with all new Starbits?

*New Cards
Yes, I know that every month new cards is producuced. The top players need to buy this to stay at top. Because they have to focus at "a lot of different cards". But will the lower players focus to buy this kind of cards? I am not so sure.

The most Starbits will be spend on...
*Buy cards
If you have 50 000 starbits you can buy a lot of cards. Or you wait some days and you have 60 000 to spent. With more Starbits to spend - higher prices in market can be accepted.
Will we see the price go up in next 30 days because of this?

Sell to Hive
You can go to HE and sell your starbits. With an increase amount in market people have to sell in lower price. So with a lot more Starbits the price is suppose to go down.
Will we see a continue pricedrop in 30 days from now?

IF (I say if because I am not sure) we have a high inflation in this game the best way is to NOT have the starbits in the wallet. The best way is to buy cards - or sell to Hive.
I am not sure we have this situation but maybe. I bought my 1 million Starbits for 0,00030 and now the price is 0,0020 . But was it bad? Not for sure becuase I make about 12 000 starbits everyday now.

I think the Chopper is still on the market. I've been looking for one of those but I don't want to pay 60K for it. 😁

The price of starbits seems to just keep going down and there seems to be very little buying activity. I also noticed that there are more and more millionaires which presumably contributes to this.

Hopefully things will have shifted by your April 15th post.

I guess the price of starbits will be down - and price of cards will be up.
One intresting thing - in market you can see very few cards sell for starbits. Specially epic and legendary. Most sell in hive. Why? Because hive is more stabile? Because they want to keep starbits for some reason`?
Lets see what happen later on.
I think that it should be good for the game if starbits could be spent on lottery or something that gives special cards. That should reduce the amount.

Yes. I've noticed that. I'm always on the lookout for good value cards in Starbits.

Most sell in hive. Why?

I think it's just that people want Hive to do other things with. And if you're earning a decent amount of Starbits in the game there's no need to buy any. You can buy your cards with that.

There was a big discussion some months back about finding more sinks for Starbits.

This is what we have been chatting about for some days now. Its very interesting to see what will happen. Supply and demand. There.is a supply, so we need the demand to rise I guess! There are also only 80 millionaires out of 569 players. That's about 14%

WOW then this game can grow. Thats nothing - specially when you can play without hive-account if I understand it right.

I did get a good answer of the dev.team to this post that something going to happen with the demand soon....(maybe it is time to buy some in the low market)

Oooooh that's very interesting. We just have to wait and see. They always giving new ways to spend starbits. Like crafting, I wonder what will be next!

It is certainly true that the more players and Starbits Millionaires there are the higher the inflation. The crafting and reward pool are the first of many additions to the game that help to mitigate this and we are working on something very big that will be another massive STARBITS sink but I can't reveal anything about it at the moment.

Also STARBITS is a utility token for the game. We have always said that our main focus is to make the game as fun to play as possible not to make it a gamified crypto farming app. It is a bonus that you can make money playing it and if the price causes some people to stop playing then that is fine with us - we want people that are passionate about the game and being amazing community members! If people stopped playing solely because of the price it would actually reduce inflation and I imagine the price would then find a floor.

The problem when you do an amizing game - everone wants to play :-)

I think you doing an amazing community and game. For me this is the most fun game just now in hive. But that is a lot because a fun communiy. A lot of comments when I blog about it, a lot of discussions in discord and so on. The game is fun - but the community is the most important.
(so please dont see this post as a negative thing)

I don't see it as negative at all just a fact of life with the way the token works with the game. The amazing community is what inspires us to keep on developing and we have a LOT more to come!
