Bitcoin will rise first in inflation-hit countries
Looking at the data on an individual country basis shows the degree of this deviation between Bitcoin and fiat. Argentina, which has been going through a deep economic crisis for almost a year now, saw its highest weekly P2P volume ever last week with ARS101.44 million or $1.4 million traded, Chile and the Dominican Republic are also seeing increasing P2P volumes. Kenya, in the first week of July saw $830,000 in P2P volume, hitting a new all-time high. Other African countries like Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania are also seeing increasing volumes.
Practically this could end up being the case with not just high volumes of Bitcoin trading in countries that are going through more severe economic crisis but we could see adoption of Bitcoin rate grow faster compare to other countries. No doubt seeing trade volumes peak in the above mentioned countries, as fiat continues to fail people severely they will begin to look for other ways to secure their money.
DApps Need to Nail Usability to Move From Crypto Niche to Mainstream
Jordan believes that in the next five years, people might not even realize they are using platforms that are powered by blockchain technology: “My view is that we’ll see a big jump driven by consumer-facing Dapps that don’t require any blockchain knowledge, and don’t even promote themselves as using blockchain.” He added that new blockchain platforms will transform users’ experiences, from “Eth 2.0 to Cardano, Flow (from CryptoKitties dev Dapper Labs), Near and Harmony.”
One of the major challenges of DApps are ease of use and a product that will keep users hooked. Once those two limiting factors are solved we are bound to see high jump in DAppa usage. However, i do believe the time will come when people will be using some DApps and not realize it is a blockchain app. Dapplr here on Hive is currently working on an DApp which I think could put Hive out there as I have high hopes of the App, Splinterland could be another one once a mobile App is launched for the game.
