One more dream comes true - I am in Pergam!

Greetings from Turkey!

Once upon a time, it seems, back in 2010, my daughter Nat and I had a pretty adventurous bus trip around Europe during the autumn school vacation. Just after such trips you agree to pay a bigger price but be by yourself.

Back then, my probably the strongest impression was the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. Miletus Gate and of course the Altar of Pergamum.

And today another dream of mine has come true - Pergam! An ancient city near Turkish city of Bergama. It was from there that German archaeologists brought altar of Zeuz, restored and preserved it. The Turks would simply destroy it, although now they ask for it to be returned. But I'm not about that.

Despite of lockdown in Turkey, acrololis is open. The road to it was a challenge for our rented car. But the first word we all said when drove to tge top was WOW.

The place is impressive and incredibly beautiful! We say in Ukraine - a place of power.

Pergam was a city on the edge of Anatoly, once a capital of Pergam kingdom that later became a part of Roman Empire.

It isocated on the top of a tall hill, anf its area is pretty large.

I've met a turtle up there. Amazing! She ate grass and hid in the nest.

The Acropolis closes early, so we were asked to drive down at about 5pm. Have to move on.
