We made some jerky from a wild foraged black staining polypore mushroom. The result ended up being a bit too spicy for my taste, but my wife and son are enjoying it! So, if you like spicy jerky, then this may be a recipe that you want to try!!

Beef jerky is not something popular here. Don't think I have ever seen it in shops even.
The mushroom looks quite good even though black. It is just as a TV snack?

Yes, a TV snack or something to munch on while driving. Apparently, I'm just a big baby, because everyone else in the family (including the kids) seem to really like it. They rated it as a 4 out of 10 for hotness.
