Quarantine Day 11
Looks like yesterday was a false dawn as last night the family members who were supposedly getting better actually deteriorated. Not only have they come out in a nasty blotchy rash but their symptoms made me don my mask on quicker than I normally do plus a set of surgical gloves.
I suppose that is why you are only given a certificate after 28 days as Monday will be two weeks from their positive tests. The symptoms are still the severe headaches hence the pain killers which are not working as well as they once were.
The fevers have come back with sweating followed by shivering and we have just got to sit this one out tonight and tomorrow. Not much has been done today so we had to order in take away as I honestly don't feel like playing mother hen again tonight. The truth is I am not exactly up and about myself as I am wearing a back brace (support) this evening. Looks like when shit hits the fan everything goes wrong.
Normally I visit the chiropractor once a month and I felt my back go earlier and haven't been able to reset it. This is slightly worrying as I don't need back drama right now. I have anti inflammatory tablets so I am hoping they will do the trick by tomorrow so I can at least click everything back into place. Worse case scenario is I will be at my chiros office at 8 am Monday morning for a quick clickety click. He does that for me as I am one of his long time patients.
I just think this whole thing is a joke as my son in law who was tested last week and came back negative has already gone back to work. The chances of him getting it are the same as the rest of us yet he is allowed out. Tests mean absolutely nothing as a friend coughed once and tested positive and has had no other symptoms since. Crazy as he is 66 and for him this is a joke.He obviously has no underlying health issues and is very fortunate.
I believe this is why the world is in conflict with the Corona virus as many aren't affected and can easily brush it off. I am living in a house with two sickly people right now and not 100 percent sure if I have had the virus or not. The chances are we have all had it and it has hit the weakest amongst us.This is why a large percentage of the world doesn't take it seriously and why this thing will linger on for months until a vaccine is found. In some ways this virus by not being deadly enough has created more damage.
This is not good news. Just like you, I was hoping you are on your way out of the infection. But it looks like the hardest part is not over yet. Your back is another problem. Take care of yourself and watch every move you make. That is not a joke.
Bingo. SARS-1 in 2003 didn’t spread globally because it put too large a percentage of the infected to hospital.
I hope they are able to turn the corner soon. It has to be hard being the only one that can take care of them. I know how crappy it is to have a million things going on and then you hurt your back too.
