Greetings Ladies! Today I want to join the 35th contest of this community thanks to the invitation of my dear friend @irenenavarroart.
What’s your favourite childhood memory/memories?
I lived my childhood and youth in the house of my paternal grandparents located in the high zone of the state of Portuguesa Venezuela, most of my time was spent playing with my cousins and my little brother, our games were outdoors, since my grandparents' house is located in a coffee plantation so we had plenty of land to run and play.
One of our favorite pastimes was climbing trees, we all took turns to do pirouettes in a tree that was at the top of a hillside, and when we let go of the tree we just ran down the hill, there was also another of these trees that for us was a pirate ship, I remember that we were all day looking from the top of the coffee plantations and from this one we had a view of the road.
In addition to climbing trees we also used to make our own little houses made with sticks that we found around, the roofs were made with weeds that we collected from the surroundings and with plastic we made the divisions, we were very collaborative, each one had a job and we performed it to carry out our little house, I remember that as I was one of the eldest I was always in charge.
My childhood days were the closest thing to being a savage always in contact with the land and nature, my cousins and I lasted between the coffee plantation until nightfall, our parents had to go get us, to prepare us to eat, bathe and go to sleep, we had a lot of fun during that stage of our lives, they are memories that I will treasure forever, Unfortunately at that time we didn't have digital technology and I have few pictures of my childhood, and almost none of my outdoor games hahaha.
Childhood time not return but memory always with us
You are right, I really enjoyed that time of freedom... jajja
