I love movies that mix the mystery of death with the wonder of life, of course always looking at it from a comedic point of view, because life is just that, a tragicomedy in which we are all protagonists of our own story. Every day we write, we cross out, we cry, we laugh and above all we live.

The first time I saw "The Bucket List" starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, I marveled at the subtle and almost charming way in which the concept of death and terminal illness was handled. In this case, 2 elderly men decide to make a bucket list and set out on the adventure of living it.

The same thing happened to me when I saw the German movie "The Most Beautiful Day", but in this case, the terminally ill were two young, handsome and with a whole life ahead of them. Their life so much like yours or mine, full of desires, will to live, courage, cowardice and fear.

First question: If you had two hours left on earth, what would you do?
The first thing I thought when I read the question, which by the way, I read it several times, was: before I leave the earth means I'm going to die, that is, it's not like aliens come and abduct me.

If I knew I was going to leave this earth in two hours, which by the way I hope I don't know, but that I arrived by surprise, I would definitely go and hug my aunt, my brothers and my nephews one more time and tell them how much I love them.

At this point I have a reflection. Certainly all the time I tell my aunt that I love her, almost all the time I tell my sister and my favorite nephew, but the truth is that I tell my brothers and other nieces and nephews very little. I have homework to do!

After that, I would ask my best friend to accompany me the last moments of my existence on this earth. I have known her for more than 30 years, and as the years go by, a friendship is created that almost needs no words.

She has a very beautiful spiritual path, so she has left aside criticisms and judgments. Yes, I know, we are human and leaving judgments and criticisms is a bit complex, but she tries every day, the same as I try to do, although many times I declare myself somewhat incompetent in this matter.

I would ask her to take me to the "Loma del viento", a very beautiful place in San Cristobal, Tachira State, Venezuela. It is a very high hill on a mountain, from there you can see a good part of the city and best of all, the wind is so strong that it doesn't whisper in your ear, it screams at you and if you don't put your batteries on it will blow you away. It is a good place to spend the last moments on this earth.

Ahhh and I couldn't miss my favorite fruit at this moment, a huge, juicy, sweet and exquisite family size mango for me alone! ... maybe I'll give to my friend, but she has more opportunities to eat one.

Second question: What is the best gift you have ever given?
In this life you can give everything, for a woman it is easy, a bracelet, a chain, earrings, makeup, for women there is everything; while for men gifts are a little more difficult to find: a watch, a wallet, a scarf (by the way almost no man wears a scarf anymore), a belt ... it's complicated right?

The thing is that when I hear about gifts, it always puzzles me because I don't know what to give, I consider myself from bad to very bad at giving gifts. Most of the time I forget to wrap them and give them in a transparent bag. What a barbarity!

A few years ago, I learned to knit and I prefer my gifts to be made by me. I make amigurumis, they are adorable dolls knitted with the crochet technique and they suit children from 0 to 100 years old! ... I know that not everyone likes those dolls, but for me it is a very special way to tell people how special they are to me.

Knitting an amigurumi requires time, patience and a lot of dedication, which I do with a lot of love, so each of my amigurumis is impregnated with love for the person who is going to receive it, which for me makes them a very special gift, because every stitch I make is thought for the person who is going to receive it.

So no, it is not a simple knitted doll, it is a doll loaded with a lot of love, which makes them special dolls.

On the other hand, I have a gift and that is to listen, I am a good listener and my friends, those who know it, take advantage of that gift, they tell me their situations, not for me to solve their situation, but rather for me to listen to them. It's always good to have someone to tell existential problems to, isn't it, in the way of conversation, my friends discover what the solution is and I haven't said a word!

Todos los días escribimos, tachamos, lloramos, reímos y por sobre todo vivimos.

La primera vez que vi “Antes de partir” protagonizada por Jack Nicholson y Morgan Freeman, quedé maravilla de la forma tan sutil y casi encantadora en que fue manejado el concepto de la muerte y las enfermedades terminales. En este caso, 2 hombres de edad avanzada deciden hacer una lista de deseos y lanzarse a la aventura de vivirla.

Lo mismo me ocurrió cuando vi la película de origen Alemán “El día más hermoso”, pero en este caso, los enfermos terminales eran dos jóvenes, guapos y con toda una vida por delante. Su vida tan igual a la tuya o a la mía, llena de deseos, ganas de vivir, coraje, cobardía y temor.

Esta semana @silversaver888, en la comunidad de #LadiesofHive, ha propuesto un concurso sobre lo que haría antes de dejar la tierra y cuál es el mejor regalo que he hecho. Para leerlo y participar pincha el enlace.

Primera pregunta: Si te quedaran dos horas en la tierra, ¿qué harías?
Lo primero que pensé cuando leí la pregunta, que por cierto, la leí varias veces, fue: antes de dejar la tierra significa que voy a morir, es decir, no es que vienen unos alienígenas y me hacen una abducción.

Si supiera que voy a dejar esta tierra en dos horas, que por cierto espero no saberlo, sino que llegué de sorpresa, definitivamente iría a abrazar una vez más a mi tía, a mis hermanos y a mis sobrinos y decirles lo mucho que los amo.

En este momento tengo una reflexión. Ciertamente todo el tiempo le digo a mi tía que la amo, casi todo el tiempo a mi hermana y a mi sobrino favorito, pero la verdad es que se lo digo muy poco a mis hermanos y demás sobrinos. Tengo tarea para la casa!

Luego de eso, le pediría a mi mejor amiga que me acompañe los últimos momentos de mi existencia en esta tierra. A ella la conozco desde hace más de 30 años, y pues con el pasar de los años, se crea una amistad que casi no necesita palabras.

Ella tiene un camino espiritual muy bonito, así que ha dejado de lado las críticas y los juicios. Si, lo sé, somos humanos y dejar los juicios y criticas es un poco complejo, pero ella lo intenta cada día, lo mismo que yo trato de hacer, aunque muchas veces me declaro un tanto incompetente en ese tema.

Le pediría que me lleve a la “Loma del viento”, un lugar muy bonito en San Cristóbal, Edo. Táchira, Venezuela. Es una colina muy alta en una montaña, desde allí se divisa buena parte de la ciudad y lo mejor de todo, el viento es tan fuerte que no te susurra a tu oído, te grita y si no te pones las pilas te arrastra. Es un buen lugar para estar los últimos momentos en esta tierra.

Ahhh y no podría faltar mi fruta favorita en este momento, un enorme, jugoso, dulce y exquisito mango tamaño familiar para mi solita! … quizá le dé a mi amiga, pero ella tiene más oportunidades para comerse uno.

Segunda pregunta: ¿Cuál es el mejor regalo que has hecho?
En esta vida se puede regalar de todo, para una mujer es fácil, una pulsera, una cadena, unos aretes, maquillaje, para las mujeres hay de todo; mientras que para los hombres los regalos son un poco más difíciles de encontrar: un reloj, una cartera, un pañuelo (por cierto ya casi ningún hombre usa pañuelo), una correa… es complicado verdad?

El caso es que cuando escucho hablar de regalos, siempre me desconcierta pues no sé qué regalar, me considero de mala a muy mala haciendo regalos. La mayoría de las veces se me olvida envolverlos y los doy en una bolsa transparente. Qué barbaridad!!!

Hace unos años, aprendí a tejer y prefiero que mis regalos sean elaborados por mí. Hago amigurumis, son unos adorables muñecos tejidos con la técnica del crochet y les va bien a niños de 0 a 100 años! … sé que no a todos les gustan esos muñecos, pero para mí es una forma muy especial de decirle a las personas lo especial que son para mí.

Tejer un amigurumi requiere tiempo, paciencia y mucha dedicación, cosa que hago con mucho amor, así que cada uno de mis amigurumis va impregnado de amor hacia la persona que lo va a recibir, lo que para mí los convierten en un regalo muy especial, pues cada puntada que doy, es pensada para la persona que lo va a recibir.

Así que no, no es un simple muñeco tejido, es un muñeco cargado de mucho amor!, los que los convierte en unos muñecos especiales.

Por otro lado, tengo un don y es escuchar, soy buena para escuchar y mis amigos, los que lo saben, aprovechan ese don, me cuentan sus situaciones, no para que yo se les resuelva su situación; sino más bien para que los escuche. Siempre es bueno tener alguien a quien contar los problemas existenciales, verdad?, en el camino de la conversación, mis amigos descubren cual es la solución y yo no he dicho una sola palabra!
