Ladies of Hive Community Contest 62# - HOLIDAY TRAVEL!

Amazing day to the beautiful ladies of this community. Once again the community invites us to share our lovely experiences from diverse cultures, I have taken my time to enjoy some post from other members learning so many types of dishes and their traveling holiday experiences in the course of this week contest. Thank you so much @ladiesofhive for always giving us the privilege to express ourselves here.

For this week contest, I will love to answer question one which says:

Do you like to travel during the holidays, or stay close to home?
For either answer, please tell us why!

This question came so handy because I have already travelled since four days ago to my father land for the Christmas holiday. So my answer is YES" I love to travel 😊.

It's no doubt that the season brings joy, relaxation, happiness, togetherness to our loved ones and so I don't like missing traveling during the holiday to unite with my loved ones who also will be coming from different countries. From January to december, we get to always communicate over the phone but the season is an avenue to have an amazing time together so I always love to travel home at most because of our family Christmas tradition. It's a tradition that I always crave to participate unless I am not in good health, you will definitely find me home celebrating with my family after lots of toiling and hustling for the year.

Growing up with my grandma was lots of fun, training and series of discipline from her, I loved the training because it contributed to the type of woman I have become today and so the first person I rushed to go and see immediately I returned home was my granny.

Like I said, I traveled since four days ago and the celebration began immediately, there has been lots of fun for me which made me not drop my entry since the week started. Amazing native dishes I have been enjoying with granny, lots of stories and palm wine relaxation. It's been awesome and I just wish Christmas should be celebrated at each quarter of the year, hehehehe.

Most of my family members are still not home, some are already on the way while some are still packing their bags so in two days time, we hope to have a full family for more celebration. I travelled earlier because of my children. Nigerian road is not smiling atall so if one can't afford to travel by air, the best thing is to travel by road on time before the road start getting more busier.

The journey was a long one and we had to rest after some hours on the road. Traveling earlier, I thought it would be so simple but I was wrong, we got stucked at the traffic for hours without any movement, many people also made the decision of traveling earlier just like me and so the road was already busy. My kids were craving to meet their relatives at the village and so they refused to accept the road stress claiming to be strong and wishing to get home as soon as possible.

It was a 15 hours long journey due to traffic and bad road. We have taken out time to rest and the celebration is ongoing. I wish to enjoy every moment this season, learn new cultures and history before the holiday will be over!.
