I will chose water over electricity for even a thousand days.

This can actually come like a joke, but in real sense I have never seen a blind man die because of a lost vision or that he couldn't see the light.

But we can hear of both humans and animal die of drought for lack of rain.

Water or electricity

Dehydration for a day means hell for me and On medical advice water is my number one sickle cell therapy to prevent and relieve pain.

The least quantity I am to drink per day starts from 5litres, I start gradually by morning to keep 10bottles of a 50ml of a water measuring bottle.
This way it keeps my blood in shape and flowing properly for the day, even at night I keep water by my side to sip through the night.

This is for me, but even for my fellow humans we are all aware that the human body is made up of a large percentage of water and everyone at one point feels thirsty especially on a sunny day.

maybe a day in Sahara dessert will remind is of how well we can appreciate water over electricity

Here is a common Nigerian Anthem

UP NEPA!

A slang go hail the power holding anytime they restore power supply.

I pray this doesn't follow me if I get to travel out to avoid been embarrassed by the constant supply of light and quality of living.

This shows how well we are adapted to living without electricity. For some areas the max power supply is under 4hours for a full 24 hour day.
And worst still you won't get to see light for days without serious reasons.

Raining seasons are the worst.
And the lame excuse is that

The poles are wet or the lines are broken by storm we won't get to see light

Thinking about this made me feel that isn't it possible for us to have underground poles and wiring so that this won't be affected by rain.
I was told it has its disadvantages as well.

In all we are used to life without electricity.
Alternatives exist, candles, oil lamps and lots more.

But God has been generous with water, such that even if we don't have boreholes and taps running in our homes, our rivers have never run dry.

May I with pleasure invite @bimpcy and @gloriaolar to participate in the contest.

You received 5 LADY(LOH) tokens for entering the Ladies of Hive contest.

Please note that since our LOH token is still so new, that it will be worth more if we HOLD them for a bit before trying to sell them. Some have been trying to sell them immediately after receiving them, but holding them for a bit will help them to increase in value! We are working behind-the-scenes to try to keep the price stable, but the "sell orders" are hampering the stabilization of the price of this new token. Please hold on to your tokens. Thank you! 🙂

¡Considere esperar! ¡Gracias! 🤗

😂😂 I don't think up nepa will follow you when you leave the country. There will be constant light so you won't have to jubilate when you see light.

I also pick water anytime, anyday.

😂😂 it will be awkward for the first few days as you'll be rushing to charge your gadgets whenever you see light, until you get used to it.

Thanks for sharing @monica-ene.
Good luck with the contest.
Friends can help you define your priorities. People tend to pick friends who are similar to them. Because we fall prey so easily into this similarity trap, it is important to try to stretch yourself to learn from some of those opposites. There is some truth to the saying that “Birds of the same feathers, flock together.” Knowing this can help you grow by expanding your range of friends and trying out some new points of view.
Ladies of Hive can be the place where you can grow.
